hadzi
This is the only one Polish Bf 109. The plane was bought for a bottle of whiskey from US soldier in Italy. It was served in 318 Polish Squadron in Italy in 1945.The kit is FM with Aires cockpit, decals are from Model Maker (Poland).
woody37
I'd buy one for two bottles of whiskey! Lovely build and unusual scheme

wayne 0
Cool backstory. Lovely job on a great kit of a worthy plane (my opinion). A Fine Molds 109 is worth a bottle of whisky these days. Thats Messerschmitt inflation for you.

JWM
Very clean and nice work - and unique subject On photo there is a light spot (a big scarf - metal colour?) on the right side, close to tail - I cannot guest what was reason for that. And I am not sure if it is not something painted = a kind of art?. The second scarf or spot is close to end of engine - this one is around a hole when a crank was placed to start the engine (???). Or this is another art? Anyway - very nice model indeed!
Dave Fleming
'splodges' are not uncommon on aircraft in Italy, I have seen a theory they were anti-gas indicator paint (which was available in camo colours)
Darby
Was it a single malt or a blend?
Mitch K
'splodges' are not uncommon on aircraft in Italy, I have seen a theory they were anti-gas indicator paint (which was available in camo colours) A result of our losing 100 tonnes of mustard gas at Bari, and half-expecting a pre-emptive German response when the news leaked out?
