Nakajima Ki-44 Shoki

Recommended Posts

Ki-44-II, 29 Sentai ,2nd Chutai ,AnchangI Formosa, August 1944. I used Quickboost exaust and a True Details pilot seat on this Hasegawa kit. This was the first time I tried the "hair spray" method for the chipped paint effect. It was tedious and time consuming, but I was pleased at how it turned out.

I've been somewhat of a fan of the Ki-44 since I built one (Hasegawa 1/72).

For no particular reason I've liked the look and proportions of the Shoki, ever since.

Your hair spray method worked beautifully - a top-shelf build!
