I'm Always searching about weird things and "Special" units….😰 The Wild Weasels are one of my favourites ! So let's start with one of the first "sniff and kill" dedicated aircraft ! Then I saw this one in a book about war in Korea... An aircraft that bear the name of my wife... Plus a glazed nose and 2 turrets... And painted in black ... What else ??? Silver painted, solid nose with 8 Nifties !! No lower turret, and some aerial for sniffing the North Korean radar guided AAA So this one was not only detecting the radars but was also able to destroy it.. Hence one of the first Wild Weasels ! I did forget that I've already mùade 2 PW 2800 !! Good that left only 4 to be done Here's Sylvia, ready for the surgery ! Some casting has been done yesterday ! So let's say 4 PW2800 with 18 cylinders…. I need some cylinders !! Have a good new year eve !! And No firecrackers for the poor dog's ears !! I walk more and more easily… and whitout crutches !! So, What a big multiholed nose !! The lead distribution was surely… Persuasive !! The fit of the meteor nose is really good !! Belly is now cut down for the lower turret of Sylvia ! Painting is on BUT I will add the oil coolers in the wings and open the cooling flaps... I think that I will also open the landing flaps on one of these beast... I was looking for a way to represent a faded away german winter camo... Flory was the way indeed... That's a start... Then my cuttie grand daughter is already clowning... Like Grand 'Pa like grand daughter.... Lovely pumpkin is'nt she ?? Now... To bring her in Telford 2021 will be a big game... I saw that ICM is preparing some version of the beast... And I can't resist building the same aicraft from different brands... That's still a good way to upgrade both.... IMHO Soooo, I smuggled this in CC's castle... And there is a LOOOAAAAd of parts in here !! Something tell me that invaders are now back on the top of the waiting files.... More to come soon.... And look at all these unused parts..... Kitbashing ahead !!! Believe me !!! Well detailled and very soft plastic..... I'll not use resin engines on this one... See !! The locating holes have to be enlarged a bit ! Two types of reductors, really detailled.... Now, we'll see all that stuff will be assembled... Stay safe Gents !! Sincerely. But here, it is clearly another breed of ICM kit..... I'm amazed !! See, 9 parts for the reductor case of the best 1/48 PW-2800 in injected plastic that I'm given to build.... No longer sink mark and just a tiny injector pin..... Wing tip tank, the plastic is soft, so there will be no need for filler..... Well done ICM, well done.... Sincerely.
