Alan P Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Yesterday Mark suggested a 24-hour build in honour of Mike (BM owner)'s birthday. Never one to turn down a challenge, i accepted! I started at 8.45 this morning with this: (Pics are timestamped - no cheating!) And finished a while ago with this: First time I've ever tried anything like that, and very pleased with the result! It's not a subject I'd usually tackle, and in a scale I would very rarely venture into. Happy Birthday Mike! Al 19

MikeW Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 So, what did you do with the rest of your time that day? 1
Nachtwulf Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 That's awesome! I can't even bust the sprues out of the bags in that amount of time! Great job! 1
Cookenbacher Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I don't know how you managed it, well done Alan. 1
stevehnz Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Nice one indeed Alan. For all its dimensional woes that looks very convincingly like a P-39, a really nicely made one at that. Steve. 1
polo1112 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Super Airacobra. It is always cool to see one. Great job. 1
Alan P Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 (edited) I don't know how you managed it, well done Alan. It started off as a bit of a joke, but when i realised i might just do it..... So, what did you do with the rest of your time that day? ha ha , it was probably only about 4 hours actual build time, if that. Spread across 12 hours so had plenty of time to do all the other stuff. (Not work, obviously, i don't bother with that stuff.) Thanks for looking in, I can only suggest you try it one day if you can. Al Edited May 10, 2016 by Alan P 1
eng Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 How did you manage that in a day!? That would have taken me a couple of months......and it still wouldn't have looked this good either. Lovely build, very nicely finished too. A full days uninterrupted modelling must be sheer joy. Rgds, Eng 1
A6Intruder Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Nice an clean build but the black Decals with the red lines are wrong direction. The red belongs to the back. It`s the sighn not to walk on the flaps. Best regards. Stefan 1
