Excellent portrayal of this highly interesting helicopter trail blazer! Kind regards, Joachim -
Imressively convincing MiG-17! The finish is superb, as is that cute little addition of the helmet on the wing. Kind regards, Joachim

Swedish Two Seat Draken
Spitfire31 replied to CT Modeller's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Excellent model that gives a really good impression of an SK 35C! While working as a cameraman for Swedish TV, I was lucky enough to get two flights in the back seat an F 16 wing "35 Sport", as it was called. Feet first to 30,000 ft, like sitting on a rocket… The trainer version probably saved quite a few lives, since it was used to teach green pilots how to get out of the tricky high speed stall problem of the double delta design. Nice modelling! Kind regards, Joachim -
Very interesting one-off, superbly modelled. Is it a resin kit ocr did you scratch build it? Kind regards, Joachim

Spitfire Vb Trop - 1/32 Hobby Boss
Spitfire31 replied to Alan P's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Beautifully constructed and finished Spitfire, and kudos for the drooping elevators – so typical of a parked Spit! But… I hate to rain on your parade, but there's something, er… screwy about your airscrew. The Rotol blades look as if they are angled in the wrong direction. A Merlin, of course, turns clockwise as seen from the cockpit. But the tips of your blades look on the photos as if they are angled for the counterclockwise direction. Each blade would need to be twisted in the hub, still with the straight edge being the leading edge in the direction of rotation – clockwise, as seen from the cockpit – so that the thick base has the coarsest angle and the tip just a shallow angle. It's easy to see but a difficult to explain… Kind regards, Joachim -
HA-1112-M1L Buchón, 1:72 Special Hobby
Spitfire31 replied to alex_stela's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Superb model. I suppose those photos where it looks as if you're holding a 1:72 Buchón in your hand are in fact courtesy of a 1:48th model and Photoshop? 😆 @Armorrich: it is originally a Bf 109 G-2, re-engined in Spain with a Merlin and sundry other modifications. Kind regards, Joachim- 16 replies

Short Singapore III Contrail vacu kit 1/72

Superb handling of vacforms and an extrordinary gift of patience seem to be your specialties. This is a truly amazing model, not least considering the kit's origin. Ace class modelling!👌 Kind regards, Joachim -
Dornier Do-23G Airmodel vacu 1/72

The finished model has nothing "basic" about it, and I can just about begin to appreciate the work that must have got into this project. Beautiful modelling! Kind regards, Joachim -

What a lovely 1:48th… Say what? 1:72nd? Amazingly clean and convincing modelling. I almost took the two top pics to be reference photos. Bravo! Kind regards, Joachim -
Eduard 1/48 Supermarine Spitfire Mk.VC
Spitfire31 replied to Lightningboy2000's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Basically a very sound Spitfire! To my eyes the weathering is a bit like the curates egg. The wear and tear of the temporary operational markings looks quite convincing. However, those big naked patches of aluminium (what happened to the primer?) on the basic camouflage kind of kill the illusion, especially since they're in places that seldom received much abuse. Kind regards, Joachim -
Uncommonly smart looking Balliol! Really nice work with that smooth finish and exacting canopy framing. 👌

A6M5 Type 52 Zero (Academy 1/72)
Spitfire31 replied to Ferguson's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
A trio of most excellant models there! But really, a dozen photos each would be more than enough to show off your impressive skills. 30+ pics, many of them very similar, is simply way too many and take up too much BM server space. You need to pick and choose! 🧐 Kind regards, Joachim -
Hawk 1/32 H-43B Huskie from 1961
Spitfire31 replied to Rob de Bie's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
A most excellent model of an old and very interesting design! In fact, Anton Flettner's original intermeshing main rotor design flew before WWII as the Fl 265, further developed as the agile Fl 282 Kolibri, flown operationally by the Germans and then testflown in the US after the war, apparently "inspiring" Charles Kaman. Kind regards, Joachim
