Konrad
About the helicopter: The UH-12C - a three-seat helicopter developed by Hiller Aircraft initially as the Hiller 360. The Hiller 12C is one of development versions - the first with a distinctive spacious bulbous cabin (the 12A and 12B versions had cabins with flat diagonal planes). This version of the helicopter was equipped with Franklin O-335 engines. About the copy: One of two Hiller 12Cs purchased by the Peruvian Ministry of Health to support vaccination campaigns. After several years (?) transferred to the FAP (Air Force of Peru). Colour scheme somewhat presumptive - I found only 2 black and white photos of these helicopters on the Internet. About the model: The 1/72 scale LF Models kit was used as a base, and it is quite poor and built straight out of the box can be moderately attractive. I decided to add some details (as far as the photos of the original allowed). Painted Bilmodell paints, self made decals. Scott Hemsley
Take a well-deserved bow, Sir! I had this kit ('had' being the operative word) and you stating the kit is quite poor, is truly an understatement. After a time of repeatedly being taken out of, then replaced in the stash, I reluctantly had to admit it was beyond my skill-level at the time and thus passed it onto a better home. It is with that backstory, I can do no other than acknowledge and admire your skill. 👍 👍 Scott 2

CH-53D
Exquisite work, particularly for how tiny the aircraft is in 1/72!

Dennis_C
Amazing work. I'm now building the kit and overall I think it's not too bad but of course it is very simplified compared to real thing. Replacement of engine holders with thinner tubes adds a lot to the model... maybe I should do this as well. Hope some firm issues a pe fret to simplify scratch building of all those rotor details... kapam
Incredible! This borders on the kind of work a watch maker would do! I am very much a proponent of 1/72, but I would struggle with something this fine. Beautifully done! 👏👏👏👏

GeejeeZ
Magnificent build Konrad!! I have the Special Hobby UH-12 in the stash and have to find the courage for starting it. I heard that the Special Hobby kit is actually easier to build than the LF one, so extra respect for your build of the LF!!!
