Gotta love a Raptor, especially a nice big one. I'm excited to follow your progress CC!

Thanks zac !!

Well, as I will not overdetail that beast, I'll make my best to have a quick but clean build....

Italeri did'nt worked hard on this one...

The leading and trailing edges are not clean at all....

So sharpening it now....

All the pics of the raptor shows very neat surfaces...

That will be a challenge !!

Sincerely..

Very nice comparison between the prehistorical beast and the sleek thoroughbred horse.......I like the "suggested" glass beer....🍻

My pleasure...

Modelling in the evening and sipping a Trappist or Abbey beer.....

Perfetta combinazione.....

As they say on the other side of the alps....

Hello Dears !!

Huh, the mustang is drying out before weathering....

Soo, I worked on this one, the Tempest and the Demons....

Usual ballast, even if it did'nt look necessary....

IMG_20221224_001059

I figured out that the moulding is really soft on this kit...

And given the fine pics of @Lightningboy2000 the thrust vector system is pretty sharp....

Let's engrave it a bit...

IMG_20221223_215728

And clean up the flashes....:bangin::bangin:

Happy and Merry Christmas to you all !!

Thank you for the support and kindness !!!

Hello @corsaircorp, hope you don’t mind me adding to this post. But, the above quote is too exciting an opportunity to miss.

Well not quite a new one, but one I did some years ago, it’s the Idolmaster boxing of the Hasegawa kit. This kit was good for everyone, good for the model club stand in that it attracted the family side of modellers to our table, inspiration for children - up coming modellers. An good for myself it did very well on the competition tables, the lighter side of modelling.

If you’ve not done any web searches, have a look at the ‘chrome’ painted one that’s testing some new technology…… and the F-35 and the spectacularly delicious F-117 ……

Thanks for looking.        🥳

Hi CC

Sorry to hear no kits this Christmas,  I got a couple of books that I was after and some very comfy slippers so I am happy.

As you say, a lot of people are struggling this year. So grateful for my lot .

Let's hope 2023 is a good year for all.

Merry Christmas CC to you and yours at CC Towers.

IMG_20230216_221408

The Hasegawa part will be used....

Hello Gents !!

I still have to finish this one for June....

Or having my son missing his school's year:facepalm::facepalm:

Well, I'm going to finish the Raptor, it will be less expensive...

The resin seat is clearly adding some punch...

IMG_20230228_230356

Now checking the height... even with the open canopy, I will not seeing the seat jamming up there...

It was an internal modelling evening....

Fireboxes and Raptor....

Funny enough !!

Stay safe Gents !!

Sincerely.

Hello Gents,

Still impressed by the sheer size of this kit....

IMG_20230401_001104

Aaaaand there will be more putty and sanding.....

but it look right to me....

That will surely not be the most accurate rendition ever but I will make my best to make it look like a F-22...

IMG_20230401_001906

The moulcing is rather soft, and looking at the @Lightningboy2000 these parts are really sharp

Since the vectorial thrust is mad of moving parts....

it look far better that way methink....

Any advices ??

Have a great modelling week end !!

Sincerely.

nice seat. I thought you weren’t adding any extras? 🫣😉😆

 Johnny

:rofl2::rofl2:

Didn't bought any extras :rofl2::rofl2:

So, the seat was in my stash, and the dashboard come from another kit....:fool::fool:

I resist the temptation.... a bit... almost....

Thanks for the kind words....

Good to see some progress CC hoping you can get finished by June.

Certainly does look an impressive size, the kit that is 😄😉

Great work

Chris

Thanks Chris !!

I must finish it for June.... I act like in a GB....

I think that I'll do just that.....

I'm scratching the huge cord plugged in the computers behind the seat....

And started to paint the thrust vector paddles....

On my way to finish it right in time....

And keep a promise....

Meanwhile, the Tempest will be the April RFI....

I keep my pace, which is almost incredible....

Then teaching the 2 kids how to drive will eat some modelling time but that's the way....

So far, the clutch of my van didn't suffer too much.....:cheers:

Have a great modelling week...

For me, it's evening work week....

Starting today....:whistle::whistle:

Sincerely.

Hello Gents,

I thinned the italeri part and the Hasegawa IP to the maximum....

IMG_20230408_222527

Aaaaaand then....

IMG_20230408_235127

Here we are with an IP far better than the decal one.....

And once again, I bought nothing for the kit....

Thinning of the parts has been done for the coaming....

Then I saw that Italeri didn't put any throttles.....

That's the next scratchbuilt job for CC....
