You have sharp eyes too! I have already posted this on page 7 of this GB's Chat thread.

I've been working on a list of Revell GB's kits between 1958 and 1981, when they were manufacturing kits in the UK. Would there be any interest in my posting it in this thread? It will be pretty long - it's showing as 19 pages in current form, though that will come down a bit when I've finished editing it.

If you do post it can you post a link, as 19 pages would really take quite a bit of space ?

A few books that cover things quite well are available for not a lot on that internet thing.

All recommended by me, but then I would say that, wouldn't I?

The Revell and Monogram books have had more than one edition. The ones pictured are the updated and expanded ones.

The brand books speak for themselves. The Show Rod book is a bit more specialist and is the work of a real fan. Fink and monster stuff get covered as well.

The Roth books go into plenty of detail regarding all things Roth but both are out of print and can get a bit spendy. Roth related kits were a huge hit for Revell and were a big part of the companies '60s success.

I'm sure there's a Tom Daniel book out there, He has sixty odd kits for Monogram behind him. I can't find my copy though. I'll add it here when I stumble on it.

EDIT:

looks like memory is fooling around with me again. Checking the Tom Daniel site see's no dedicated book. I must have confused it with the full chapter in the Monogram Models book.

Show Rods of all kinds can be found on Daves Show Rods site. The guest builds run into the hundreds and the whole place is awash with really cool builds, box stock along with right out there. Groovy man.

It's been years since I visited the site and I'm so happy it's still there.  Be careful if you take a look, these things are daft as a brush but highly addictive.

A mate of mine built a Monogram Little T replica something like twenty plus years back. I built him a base for it and the thing is still on the website!

Gotta go, something in my eye...

I remember when I found that site I was there for a few hours looking at the builds. I've just had a look at the list of kits on there and of the Revell/Monogram kits I've got about 25 of them in the stash. As a taster of what's on the site here are a few that I've built over the years.

Very nice indeed. That Tarantula looks a bit too realistic for my liking.

The Black Widow pickup is a favourite of mine, your one looks spot on. Those early Monogram car kits really do it for me, I like everything about them from the box tops to the instruction sheets.

Thanks, I did do some research to get the colours right on the spider. The Black Widow is a rather basic kit but it does build up into a nice model.

I have now finished editing the Revell GB kit list and uploaded it to Google Drive. It should be accessible here.

It's coming through here as a list of kit numbers only Richard, no other info.

A couple of Monogram catalogues - the first is a pocket catalogue from 1970 found in a 1/72 scale P-36A kit that may be getting built later in this group build:

and the other is the contents listing from the 1989 Monogram catalogue, which is roughly where the build ends. I haven't done the whole catalogue as 32 pages would fill the thread up a bit too much. The flash has hidden a few of the assortment sets, but it would only have been retailers who were looking at those, I think.

A couple of adverts now, with the first from Monogram having appeared on the inside front cover of Marvel comics published in September 1970:

and for the opposition, a Revell one that appeared on the inside front cover of Marvel comics published in December 1970

Oooh, I like the look of that Stink Ray. At least I did until I looked on an auction site and saw the price they fetch. Sitting down now after feeling faint. 🥴

Any idea what those comic books were?
