They don't look too bad for sixty year old legs...

With a little gentle knife trimming they will be good

Mind you, I've never seen those legs, but I think you should see a physician before commencing anything so drastic on yourself.

Trouble is Mike we are in lock down and the medicos are all a trifle 'otherwise engaged'.

It's sure to be OK...

Johnny mate thanks

I spent a few hours of locked in day today fettling the MGF and the MG Midget so they can be ready to rock'n'roll when the clarion call comes in

But in between waiting for my much more modern battery charger to get the job done (it did) I spent a while refining my mixing latex skills

The perfect pair of wheels I have now will shortly be joined by a set of resin copies so no worries on the wheel score

So a new update will soon show paint AND wheels

ciao

multi tasking eh?

But of course.

I married a woman, certain of her skills have been observable over the years.

Now I can do another thing as well as the first thing, as long as I keep telling my head (out loud quite often)what they both are!

Impressive! If I try doing more than one thing at once, I drown in a sea of befuddlement and nothing gets done. What's that Mrs Martian? I seldom get anything done anyway? Cheek!

I could try to fill it with paint

The signpost just outside THAT door says this way lies madness...

Incidentally I am adjusting my first successful attempt at on-line shopping whilst doing this

Molto multi

And I hope it is working

Some days I just want to

spit

just wrote an entire post with three pictures and it vanished in the ether

I may return later and try again

Your breath, do not hold it...

I had the same problem a couple of days ago. I tried to quote a previous poster's message and reply to it, only to have everything vanish when I clicked "Submit Reply." Several times I quit Britmodeller and launched it again, to find my post restored, but only to vanish every time I tried to reply. The problem eventually solved itself.

I had a go with my Ced inspired Octopus minitripod at redoing the pictures

This might be a little clearer but white resin is awful to photograph

I wonder if this post will vanish in the ether

OK Giorgio, what much lighter?

The wheels fade into the off-white work surface so do you have a colour I should use?

I have plenty of coloured pastel drawing paper I can draw on.

Tell you what, I'll experiment tomorrow

Thanks G

I'd say light blue or light grey. I always struggle when I need to photograph white stuff, and I find that not hitting it with direct light helps too. That is, without playing with sorcery like adjusting the exposure or stuff like that ... :frantic:

OK let's  we give Giorgio's advice a run through

A blue grey pastel paper sheet with white resinous stuff to interrogate

P1010572.jpg

More bits on a buff-ish background

P1010573.jpg

and further investigating on a green paper

P1010575.jpg

All seem better than on the black and of course all have had flash eliminated

I think I prefer the buff

But not with flash, this un-eliminated show why

Thank you gentles, I concur

Blue grey it shall be for resin pictures, I would use it all the time except:

i: it would quickly blacken if used for all shots

ii: it will be fairly difficult to get the replacement paper if the viral assault keeps unessential shops closed

iii: it's a bit of a faff for every shot

iv: Bill's idle

With clean hands (honest) I decided to take a break from plastic and get entangled in graphics

Using Word 2010 and RAF_PW_ATH font pack in the font bank I began taking straw polls of the .pdfs Mike (Bootneck) posted and began making a set of stencils for printing

Some will need printing on clear decal paper others will require printing on white background

The picture shows the original stencils I made in their 8 point font with, laid next to it, the resized stencils for comparison

Lesson taken in Johnty

P1010593.jpg

Fit and trim for the mesh screens for the engine intakes, here rear.

P1010594.jpg

Up front, the front one!

This has had its wire frameworks added and the masking has been done for when the engines are in, just for its test fitting, much to do yet

Including making the life boat fixtures, next on the list

As you may remember I sprayed the undersides with Vallejo Aluminium, horrid stuff for a model still being worked

I suggest it is only used after the manipulation is done, it's like sprayed on rubber and rubs off inconveniently

I hope I still have some old Humbrol Silver Fox in the garage,  off for a look now tara!

Failing that it may have to be Tamiya Silver

Shops are not open yet are they?  :(
