Christer A Posted November 7, 2017 Posted November 7, 2017 Ouch! That paint lifting was anything but nice Maby try to de-tack the tape first by sticking it to the top of you hand first before sticking it onto the kit? (I must resist the allure to start another Spitfire...)

corsaircorp Posted December 1, 2017 Author Posted December 1, 2017 Hello Dears, Here co on flory ! I'm really pleased !! So I brush it every places ! I let it on the kit for a good 20 minutes, then I clean it with a smoothly damped towel and here's the result ! Really subtle and tidy !! lookin' closer So as I was reassured, I finished the whole thing !! Ok dears !! So go on Flory !! This is a good base for weathering ! Now I will use some oïl paint for specific stains or weathering !! But it is really easy to use with a great result ! So I must here thank our Dear @The Spadgent for the flory tip !! Sincerely. CC 4 1
Biggles87 Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Looking good so far. I haven't tried any Flory washes, I use water colours, gouache/tempera, and pastels, or a combination of all of them for weathering. I don't have the courage to try an oil spot wash as it usually takes me several weeks/months to get to that stage in a build and I would hate to mess it up. Cheers John 1

Cheers John I know that feeling so well - you make a lovely job of all the seams and joins. You get all the paint in all the right places. You manage not to fog the canopy. The decals are wrinkle free and straight as die. There comes a point in every build when I think - 'don't mess up now - please'. Putting in as much effort as we do the 'fear of failure' can be massive. 1 1
The Spadgent Posted December 1, 2017 Posted December 1, 2017 Glad it worked out for you dear boy. I’ll head back to page one for a nice catch up. John. 1
