Biggles87 Posted February 10, 2018 Posted February 10, 2018 That's a real shame, it looks like it has become a victim of it's own success. I last went to a display at Duxford in 2014, and was a little, disappointed at the restrictions that had been imposed by ' Health and Safety ' in the 10 years since I had last been. Unfortunately it seems to be happening everywhere, a result no doubt of a society where there is no such thing as an accident and everyone wants to sue someone. John 1

Biggles87 Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 I think the rocket heads ( if explosive type ) would be Bronze Green, but I'm just nit picking, another strange English expression. Cheers John 1
Grey Beema Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Remembered this thread from a while back. Took me a while to find though... The thread suffers from the photobucket mischief but there is a useful image further down... Hope it helps... 1
Grey Beema Posted February 24, 2018 Posted February 24, 2018 Actually I do have a question about how the double rails work. It probably obvious to everyone else but I assume the rockets separate and are fired individually so does the bracket where they are joined release or something? 1
corsaircorp Posted February 24, 2018 Author Posted February 24, 2018 Hello Grey, Precisely ! I was wondering about that same question.... As far as I can see, I looked a footage about Korean war The US used a similar system and once fired the rocket let loose individually So I suppose the bracket fell apart, may be a collateral damage for the one who take it on his head... I think that the 2 rockets are fired simultaneously, but can they select to fire outboard one first or all at once... I don't know And I did'nt see the pig tail before the take off, so I suppose once again that the electrical contact lie in the bracket. US Navy rocket on the Skyraider do have the pig tail behind, it's plugged just before the launching Will try to find back the movie on you toone ! Thank you all, this evening.... Modelling for sure ! Sincerely. CC

The Spadgent Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Oh no. Is that leakage? Good luck on the Lightning . Johnny 1
Biggles87 Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 What are you painting on the Lightning? All I can see is masking! You could always use the leakage on the Seafire as pre-shading. John 1

corsaircorp Posted April 16, 2018 Author Posted April 16, 2018 Hello dears, Really, yesterday was a weird day, the Seafire 47 fell off the table, luckily no parts missing or broken ! Then the Frightning decals.... fin flashes, 199 & 200 are unusable.... Not a very good day.... Hope that I will fare better today... Have a good modelling time ! Sincerely. CC 2
