Homebee
HPH have done a IL-28. I know and have her in my stash. But a good 1/48th injected kit of this bird would be top. For my part I don't understand the ads request for a new J-29 Tunnan, considering the recent release of the AZ Models kit when combined with the Maestro correction set. V.P. I agree with Homebee, I find Ads' limited choices rather baffling to say the least, in addition to Homebee's list I'd like to add the following too: British: Jet Provost T.3/5 Hunter F.4/T.7 US T-33 F-80 I'd much rather have any of these over a new F102 or J-29 (much as I like either of these aircraft), and I'd rather see those in advance of a new F-106. Is Ads in a position where he can offer us a new tooling of a J-29, F-102 or F-106? In which case the J-29 please. I've got one of those too... ...does yours by chance include something British called Hornet? I've thought of another jet we need though... ...slat wing Sabre F.4/E/F. I'm still curious why Ads settled on those particular jets though... Wez Edited December 22, 2012 by Wez
viscount806x
Why is isn't anyone mentioning a 1/48 Hunter? Preferably one with a 1/48 cockpit to go with it rather than the Academy/Italeri cock up.
pte1643
I'm still curious why Ads settled on those particular jets though... At the risk of sounding "Bleedin' Obvious"... I expect that's because these are two jets he wants to model.

Possibly because, at least the Acad-elri kit actually exists. "A" kit is better than NO kit, at least it's something to base a build upon. A little bit of fettling and it turns out really quite nice... Even I managed it. Personally I'd like to see the gaps in the British history addressed. Either by new kits, or in some cases I'd settle for re-releases of older kits. The glaringly obvious one for me would be the Bucc... Come on Airfix, even if it is just a re-release. Saves bidding for one on ebay and paying twice the asking, in a spate of drunken "let's bid on everything and anything". Disclaimer... Not that I've ever done that.
