Managed to miss this thread John, just read through from the start. That's a lovely little Bug, really like the colour and the stripe decals set it off very nicely, great job! I had one of these in an Imai box and tried, many years ago, to 'improve' the iinterior and made a right dog's dinner of it, so the shell became a paint mule! Wondered recently if I could strip off the many layers of paint on it and put it together and make it a 'custom' with a stripped out interior and using left over 911 parts. That's still a ''work in progress....'' !! I've actually stolen the tyres out of my kit as they nicely fit reworked Minilites from the Esci Escort Mk2 and I thought they'd be more appropriate on a quick Escort! Hi Urs, Managed to miss your May 15 update - sorry to hear about the split, but at least now you can make as much of a mess modelling as you like.... And as usual there is your signature very neat c.f. decal work, and I have to say I really like the texture you kave got on the seats, they look really good! Can't wait for that! Keith

Another really stunning build with superb scratchbuilding and details, really top work again! My 5 year old grandson will love this when I show him, he's monster truck mad and has about 50 diecast models of the things! Brilliant model again! Keith

I fully agree about EV's Dan, but Revell have already done the Audi e-tron, so wouldn't be surprised if someone like Alpha Model are already working on that hideous Ferrari thing!! Keith

BOO!! Not Elfyn? BOO....!! And, being honest I really dislike Ogier - can't stand the way he keeps 'retiring', then coming back part time and stealing points off other drivers!! I think if a driver doesn't do all the events he shouldn't score points! But that's just me...!! Keith

Fully agree with Gary @Windy37, despite all the problems with th decals, fit issues, distortions, whatever - that is a very nice looking shell! And Simil R were only a very small company that didn't last long so I guess in some way problems like these might be expected - unlike the same kind of things I had in the last Tamiya Escort Cossie I built....!!
