Interesting. Seems like a good move if they can get the price point right (IIRC the Minicraft Hercs were pretty expensive).

Assuming the Chally 1 is the same as the Revell one - they seem to be reboxing a few of their kits recently.

These are obviously ex-Minicraft kits.

Not necessarily, Academy has it’s own modern and.very nice tool of the B-52H. Hoping it is a development of that. Additionally, I don’t recall Academy ever using the Crown tools. Minicraft used them plenty and there is a long ago link between Academy and Minicraft. The Minicraft (Crown) B-52H leaves a lot to be desired compared to the Academy one. Here’s hoping.

The items listed above are indeed from Minicraft toolings. As Minicraft closed down early this year, they sold all toolings to Academy.

That is an interesting fact. So we can hope for a Mariner perhaps.

The B-52 box art is reused from the 1/320 kit. I knew it looked familiar.

So they don’t know the scale of their own kits or they are re-using box art. Hope springs eternal.

I love it when the pro modellers forget nose weight! ;)

TT

Also not certain that pro modeller used FS35164 on the PBJ either.
