Xmald
Long time no see... Fortunately for me I was able to return to the Caudron. The engine nacelles - their metal parts are painted with XF 60 lightened up with XF2. The linen covered parts of the nacelles have been brushed with dry pastels, which made them more yellow. And here`s an extremely important question to all of you - should weather the rest of the plane with the pastels (to make them more yellow) or should I leave them as the bottom wing??? The engine cowlings are yet to be painted I must admit that CSM and Edgar made a good job on the fittings and other PE bits of the kit. I fell in love with the bracing wire mountings (will make some close ups next time) they are a perfect fit and add so much to the model. I hope to post some updates in much shorter time than this one PS. the pics just made me realise all the spots that still need some touch ups.

Martian
What paint did you use for the fuselage and nacelles? Martian
Xmald
Many thanks for your kind words! Martian, both the fuselage and the nacelles were painted with XF 60 lightened up with XF2 in 2:1 ratio.
Xmald
As promised you didn`t have to wait long for the next update ... I`ve fixed the engine nacelles and some minor details. I`m really impressed by the PE (I know I`ve said that already but...) Espiecially these tiny bits for the tail booms are great. Now I need to finish shading and painting of the upper wing. I hope to start adding the rigging soon ;D ;D Finally

Xmald
I`ve managed to paint, put the decals on (they work like a charm - Cartograf - and everything is clear ). I`ve also fixed the fittings and made the stitching. I was trying to figure out how to do it painlessly and reached the same conclussion as Jorgo that the best way is to drill holes and thread the fishing line through. Now I need to fix the upper wing, no worries though since everything fits well.

Xmald
Many thanks for your kind words guys! As you probably know already rigging is one of my favourite parts so I just couldn`t wait. I`ve fixed the upper wing and attached the first 40 wires. Thanks to the PE fittings the rigging is much easier because in most cases there is no need for turnbuckles but simply using a piece of tube you can make them in the process if you know what I mean
cduckworth
Glad I found this WIP (Santa brought me one). Copper State has to be commended for bringing this a/c out and to read it's of Tamiya quality I can't wait to start mine What kind of tubing to you use of the turnbuckles? They look great. Xmald
Gee it`s hard to believe that it`s been almost one month since the last update... Nearly 100 turnbuckles and wires done, some more to go Now I`ll finally be able to see the beautiful silhouette of the G.4 since I`m planning to fix the tail section this week!
