directorcass
We have to remember, these kits are made for the Japanese market, not the US, UK, etc. In Japan, they prefer smaller kits due to the typically smaller living spaces. Although on occasion they do produce some impressively huge kits. Keep your hopes up, I'm sure we will get bigger kits out of them.
BobSolo
If i was Japanese i would sleep inside a HUGE Star Destroyer Model.. like a STAR WARS vampire! I really hope they surprise us with a large Star Destroyer, I love Bandai's current kits!
directorcass
And as far as slowing down on releases, give them some time. In just over a years time Bandai has given us no fewer than 22 new Star Wars model kits! What other company has ever done that??? Also there are still four kits on the way (two figures and two ships) and then we have the small kits coming. And that is just what has been announced so far. And don't forget we have Rogue Squadron coming out in about 10 months. They may be gearing up for that as well. anj4de
Hello all Has anybody heard anything about potentially Badai coming out with a 1/72 scale M.Falcon and Slave 1? The Fine Molds/Revell kits are nice...if you can get them, but are meanwhile outdated and much too expensive. It is hard to believe but true that in 39 years of the Mellennium Falcon being around there are only 2 (two) good models of it around, Badai 1/144 and the Hasbro 1/48 toy! It's really a shame... cheers Uwe Edited February 11, 2016 by anj4de
BobSolo
Yes 22 kits is mighty impressive and they are really good kits too! A 1/72 Bandai Falcon would be so cool and i dont think id be able to resist a 1/48 Falcon with a T-70 (and maybe a new shape Y-wing from future films) flying together either!
Richard Baker
(and maybe a new shape Y-wing from future films) flying together either! ? Are you referring to the Rouge One film or perhaps Episode 8?- I have not run across any suggestions of a new version of a Y-Wing yet...
BobSolo
Hi Richard, i meant Episode 8 or 9. We have a new X-wing/Ties/Star destroyer/stormtroopers/AT-AT, it makes sense to me that they will give the old Y-Wing a refresh/update too, we might even see a new B-wing! BobSolo
Yes your right it was! I didnt realise when i saw the film (4times! haha! ) i just assumed it was the Rebels landing craft, but in that picture it does look like its got B-wing DNA in it for sure. Viper15
I know Episode 1 wasn't the most beloved Star Wars film, but I loved the design of the Naboo starfighters, sleek and attractive with a different paint scheme to the norm, I'd love Bandai to put out a bigger scale example if they have the license for the prequel trilogy, FM did a nice one but at 1/72 it was tiny. I'd also like to see the Venator class star destroyer as the Revell version is like hens teeth...
Andy Moore
I would love to see a tie bomber! I think Finemolds were going to do one before they lost the licence. Hopefully Bandai will release one eventually. There was one issued by Fantastic Plastic but it's out of production Andy

jaitea
Just read over on RPF that Bandai are releasing an A-Wing & turbolaser in May: SGK wrote: At long last, Bandai will release the A-wing! It'll be in 1/72nd scale, quite small but a similarly scaled Turbolaser turret is included along with the display stand. Perhaps we'll take it as two kits in one this time. It's scheduled for release this coming May. http://www.1999.co.jp/10376548 Good times ahead for RotJ fans. Andy Moore
That is excellent news. Presumably the turbolaser will be part of the modular base system. Lets hope they now announce a B-Wing to follow Andy

Mechanised Dwarf
106 A couple of days ago on the RPF facebook page there was a video of the new Bandai AT-AT walking! I don't know if this will work but here goes: https://www.facebook.com/therpf/videos/10153892688262243/?fref=nf Oh yes I will also take a B-wing and the A-wing too ;-) please
Mike
That's the same video that was posted on FB or a show report a good while ago, sadly. I'd love to see one, but I shudder to think how much it would cost with those kind of electronics onboard. Not the most realistic walking motion though... Still impressive
Viper15
An A-wing is great news, an 1/72 A-wing not so much, it's a tiny ship. Still, if it's part of a diorama it could be cool. I'll be hoping they put out a bigger version however... And an imperial shuttle.

ICMF
Meh. I'm more interested in the C-3P0 'Force of Arousal' http://www.1999.co.jp/10372806 It's also nice to see they're making 'Cairo Len' http://www.1999.co.jp/10371653 (is it just me, or does that sound like some shady 60's mobster?) BobSolo
A Bandai quality A-wings cool, esp with a turret, seperate or on the base im in! My wish list for Bandai is pretty much everything. Id most like to see these though: 1/48: TFA Falcon, T-70 X-wing, Y-wing, B-wing, A-wing & all Tie fighters from the films. At least 2ft long: TFA Finalizer & O.T Star Destroyers & Medical Frigate (EF76 Nebulon-B escort frigate) 1/12: F.O. Flametrooper, Snowtrooper, Tie Pilot. The Knights of Ren (when we know what they look like), Rey & Reys speeder, Fin, Luke & Lukes speeder, Han Solo, Leia in white and also thermal detonator outfit, Chewie, Yoda, Supreme Leader Snoke, Bountyhunters/ Creatures/ Odd characters. Tydirium Imperial Shuttle, Kylo Rens Shuttle. I will build Bandai Star Wars until im 1000 the force will help me live that long Edited March 2, 2016 by BobSolo
