  1. Just a few, not up to the standards of most on here. Mick
  2. Hi, for the second one, try this, you can click and collect from Argos. I have no connection at all, just trying to save you a few quid. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fujifilm-FinePix-S8200-16MP-Digital-Bridge-Camera-Fuji-40x-Super-Zoom-/390872256895?pt=UK_CamerasPhoto_DigitalCameras_DigitalCameras_JN&hash=item5b01cd517f Mick
  3. Fantastic pictures, after seeing these, the 400+ i took are fit for the recycle bin. Best Cosford i've had in a long time, loved the Canberra, Reds and Vulcan. Off to Waddo soon and i can only dream of captures half the quality of these. You live fairly close to me, did you see the Jet Provost on its way home this afternoon ? Mick
  4. A De Havilland Vampire, i think. Flew over low, mid afternoon. What a beautiful sound.
  5. KGV and Repulse are quite decent kits, not up to modern standards but the best of the Airfx bunch in my opinion. Warspite isn't too bad either. Mick
  6. Hope you don't mind but try this http://www.flickr.com/photos/121689388@N03/ Mick
  7. I clicked on the link above and then on the thumbnails underneath and the pics came up fine. Keep up the good work on the Slava. Mick
  8. You could always try this http://uhu02.way-nifty.com/die_eule_der_minerva/013.html a lot cheaper and if you bugger something up you can just print it out again. Mick
  9. Not your run of the mill aviation film, but has anyone mentioned Wings of the Apache, Tommy Lee Jones and Nicholas Cage chucking AH-64's about. Storyline is a bit gung ho, but there are AH-64's, AH-6, Cobras, Blackhawks, Kiowa's and even SAAB Drakens. Mick
  10. Don't know if this is any help but try http://smmlonline.com/articles/royal_navy_paints.html Mick
  11. Hi, try this for your paint conversions, covers all but the flourescent red which i think humbrol does anyway. http://www.ipmsstockholm.org/colorcharts/stuff_eng_colorcharts_fs.htm For the decals try covering them with tape and rubbing it down, may take a couple of attempts but should shift most of it. Hope this helps Mick
  12. I would like to see "The Warbirds" by Richard Herman made in to a movie (lots of F-4 action ) Mick
  13. Hi Dave, if you want to try a ship, try this http://www.gremirmodels.com/hms_repulse.htm 1/200 scale, nearly 4ft long. you download the model and print it yourself. That way if you make any mistakes you just reprint and try again. i have all their RN ships plus a few others and some of the aircraft. Even the 1/200 destroyers are a decent size. I have HMS Onslow in the loft somewhere, 95% finished, will have to find it out . Mick
  14. Try this page https://www.whiteensignmodels.com/page/Camouflage+Schemes+Colours/20/ hope it is of some help Mick
  15. All the one's i have bought fit on A4, i use 160gsm paper for the best results Mick
  16. Hi Niel, I've used them loads of times and will probably use them loads more. They offer a great service and Chris is quick to respond to any queries. As for advice, print out on good quality paper, and take your time. Remember to colour the edges of the parts before assembly, usually with coloured pencils. The colour doesn't need to be an exact match, it just prevents a bright white edge. The best part is if you mess something up, you can just reprint it. Mick
  17. In a post by WEM on another forum they state the model has been designed using dodgy plans and is a combination of both Roberts and Abercrombie. Mick
  18. For aircraft i use http://www.dstorm.eu/pages/color/index.html For tanks i use http://www.miniatures.de/paints-model-colour.html http://www.figuras.miniatures.de/colour-federal-standard-color.html And i also use this for ships http://www.whiteensignmodels.com/brochure/Ship%20Colours.htm hope these are helpful to someone Mick
  19. Hi, try this http://www.finewaterline.com/pages/tips&tricks/vallejo%20paints/VallejoWWIINavalColorEquivalents.pdf found it very useful for WW2 ships. Mick

  21. Can't remember where as its years ago, someone suggested wiping an old slightly damp tea bag over the sails to give a used look. Never tried it myself, but it may be worth a try. Superb modelling by the way, waiting for the next installment. Mick
  22. Another one i refer to is http://www.jpsmodell.de/dc/luft_e.htm hopefully they may be of some use to you. Mick
