  1. Wow! What can be said but stunning thus far. I'm looking forward to seeing how this goes
  2. Great result! They look great with just the right amount of weathering in my humble opinion
  3. Very nice finished article. Reminds me of a flight in the back seat of a Hawk when I was based at RAF Abingdon in the early 90's, great memories
  4. Very nice. I'm halfway through my Tamiya Tomcat and enjoying every minute
  5. A very nice result indeed. Weathered but not too much. I have this kit in my stash and, when finished, I will be very happy if it looks anywhere near as good as yours
  6. Thanks to all that replied, the pic link was very helpful
  7. Morning all, I'm very happily building the Tamiya Tomcat at the mo and have decided to model Mavs jet from Top Gun. Anyone know what weapons were carried during the training element?? I've trawled the internet and have managed to find images of everything but the weapons! Any info will be gratefully received ps If ever you want a kit that basically makes itself go for the Tamiya Tomcat. Any reviews you read are correct. IMHO it's by far and away the best kit I have EVER made
  8. Great looking montage of a very worthy subject. All you have to do now is add a Bf110, Ju87 and a Ju88 and it'll finished lol
  9. Very nice. Certainly a very different scheme and not one I've ever seen before so thanks for posting
  10. These are a great set of photos so thanks for posting. I especially like them as they show the RAF at 'work' and not at an airshow.
  11. I was at the show on the Sunday and loved every minute so thanks for posting such amazing photos. I thought the Hind/Hip display was worth the price of addmission on there own. As for the Herc that came in......Wow! Could have tidied it up a bit for the show, lol! Still, as I drove out, I noticed that the crew had set up a table and were selling Sqdn t-shirts. Very reasonable at £10 so just had to!
  12. Nice. That colour scheme on the recon 109 is certainly very different from the norm
  13. Very nice indeed! I do miss seeing big yellow Seakings these days
  14. Some great pics, thanks for posting. Just gor home from the show which I thought was excellent. My high lights were the Hind (stunning display and colour scheme) and the Patrioulle de France with an amazing display. Well done to all concerned
  15. Some amazing pics, thanks for sharing. Loving that after colliding with ground furniture and taking a fair size chunk out of the wing 4 hours later it flew home!!!! Try doing that with an F35!
  16. Wow! You weren't kidding on how big the beast is!?! Where on Earth will you put it when finished??
  17. Nice start. You'll enjoy a Tamiya build. I've never yet had any problems with one
  18. Very nice. As you say if it looks like a Mig31, doesn't look like the one Clint Eastwood flew though!?!
  19. On the way in to work yesterday afternoon and saw a C160 on finals to Biggin Hill. Never seen one before so rather pleased
  20. If this is a wish list for the love of God Airfix, or anyone to be honest, make a 1/48 Puma!!!! Why no kit maker has ever kitted the Puma is still a mystery to me
  21. Some amazing pics, hard to choose a favourite but the Mirage 2000 looks stunning. Thanks for posting
  22. Morning. You're right, Tamiya only do an early A at the moment but the kit is simply amazing. It's literally a pour glue into the box, shake, leave for 20 minutes and hey presto! As for the Revell kit it's a reboxing of the old Monogram offering. I've built it a few times and it's been 50 50 thus far wether the mould is warped/incomplete.
  23. Lovely looking Spit. I have the PRXIX in the same blue and I think that it really suits
  24. Great result of my all time favourite aircraft. I use these little Revell kits as mojo restorers and recommend them to all
