  1. Well done to our top three and well done to everyone, superb builds to mark a momentous time in our History some fitting tributes to those whatever their nationality that took part in those events.
  2. Thanks guys, I am building an A319 in BA colours without a WIP thread due to the similarity with this kit.I was toying with the idea of an A380 in BA colours as my next civvy project but decided on something smaller and different so today got Revells boxing of ICM,s "Concordski" so once I finish the two Airfix Hurricanes which only need the last few touches doing I was thinking of a WIP thread for it.
  3. Hi Stix, love that AM cockpit set something I have never tried, although I,m impressed with Airfix,s molded detail, and you won,t be surprised to know I have a spare DH spinner if you need it.
  4. That looks a real stunner, must be fantastic in that scale, great job!
  5. Great job Mitch, love the scheme very different. Is it me or is the Hurricane giving the Spitfire a run for it,s money here at the moment?
  6. All done folks thanks for the interest and advice now in RFI.
  7. Hi folks, here,s my first airliner kit.I just wanted to do something different than my normal WW2 types and there have been some superb airliner models posted recently for inspiration so I threw aside my terror of gloss paint and had a go and believe me it has been fun with a lot of advice and support from our resident BM airliner builders who are just as passionate about accuracy and getting it right as we military types. Will definitely be doing another one soon.a few lumps and bumps missing and a decal or two but hope you like.Build thread herehttp://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234967997-lets-be-civilairbus-a320/.
  8. Thanks guys with the discount off the kit it still comes in at £25 quid with the decals which is a nice price might have to give it a go.
  9. Hi folks, my son has grabbed the 747 I bought a week or so ago so I am left without a big civil type which I wanted to have a go at so I wondered what the Revell A380 was like as a build? the 747 was,nt the best of fits by the look of things.MY Local LMS has them at under £20 at the moment also I see there are decals available at Hannants for British Airways version which look superb as a non rivet counter I can live with minor things, are there any differences of any of Revell,s boxings and those operated by BA?
  10. Yet another inspirational build Russ, the weathering is first class especially over the decals which I often forget!
  11. superb job,I remember building this kit many moons ago in the old poly bag paper header era.
  12. Beautifully built! excellent weathering and attention to detail!
  13. Very nice build of a rarely seen and different aircraft, thanks for posting.
  14. Cracking build of a very interesting little aircraft, built Matchbox,s issue years ago, wonder where the tooling went? Nice one!
  15. Lovely build Michael, superb paintwork,Got Tamiya,s 1/48 issue to do sometime so excellent reference.
  16. Hi folks, not touched this one for over a week so back on track with wheels added engines glued on and weathering done a little heavy I suspect for many but this is a test build to get the "feel" for airliner types and very enjoyable it has been.Just a few items to add and small items to re-add to the fuselage and I,ll be there. Thanks for looking.
  17. The second superb eagle of the day and a real stunner too! Excellent work all round and love the scheme.
  18. One of the best Eagle,s ever to grace these pages superb build and finish! and a design nearly 45 years old still looks beautiful.
  19. Excellent build and finish Tony,so nice to see early war schemes on Hurricanes, got a couple of Airfix 1/48 Hurricanes on the go right now still a great little kit to have fun with.Nice one!
  20. Hi all, just an update on the Rumanian Hurricane, most decals on after a darker green than originally applied just a bit of work to do on the undersides so both models should be completed this week then I think I will give anymore Hurricanes a miss till next years GB! Thanks for looking.
  21. Looking the Biz Tony I love the Whitley not enough get built definitely, need a new tool decent priced kit on the market.
  22. Looking forward to this build Paul,I love the "Munich crisis" period of RAF markings and I use Tamiya Rubber black for undersides it dries lovely after spraying and has a nice faded look,be interesting to see how it goes together I keep seeing complaints about the fit of the nose. Best of luck.
