  1. I prefer 1/50 as I build model trucks.
  2. Thank you for sharing the build with us all - it is probably the most impressive and detailed model I have ever had the privilege to see.
  3. That’s brilliant! Are you going to build the rest of the Death Star?
  4. Seemed to be the same in Preston too
  5. Absolutely stunning. I hope you don't mind me adding one of my pictures from that glorious summer...
  6. Thanks - I hadn’t seen it in the Airfix website so had no idea if it was a joke if not.
  7. What is Airfix Part Finder?
  8. Thanks Mike. It was painted with Vallejo Modelair acrylics - left over from my aircraft modelling days! I agree about the shield - I don't originally intend to use it but I managed to loose the ends of his fingers so didn't have a lot of choice! I was on a deadline to finish it so got a bit rushed at the end. I am looking for my next attempt and do intend to try some shading
  9. The shield is a Miniart decal to match a Legionaire I did for my daughter a couple of years ago. I didn’t pick out the eyes as they were so small I reckoned I risked ruining the face.
  10. Hi all, This is my second attempt at figure painting… ICM’s Roman Centurion in 1/16 scale. Comments and constructive feedback will be gratefully received!
  11. I would agree about the ginger but also consider where you sit in the bus… lower deck and mid way between the axles should give the smoothest ride.
  12. Did Norman Wisdom make any westerns?
  13. Would these be any good… https://kitformservices.com/products/single-line-pin-stripe-decals?_pos=10&_sid=85ae4569e&_ss=r I can’t recall seeing similar pinstripe decals for smaller scales (I’ve always hand painted) but might be worth Googling?
  14. I think I am about to echo what the others have said... your original points describes for more reasons to get rid than keep the car. I reckon @jenko has the right idea - try using Shank's pony, buses or taxis for a month and see how you get on. If you find you don't need the car, you have your answer - get rid - but keep your licence just in case.
  15. I have a Heller 1/400 HMS Illustrious that I intend(ed) to convert to HMS Indefatigable but it stalled at the first stage (extending the hull). Oh well, maybe someone will release a kit soon…
