Put a gloss coat on your model before you apply the decals and panel line wash. It will help prevent the decals from silvering and will allow the panel line wash to flow better and make the excess easier to remove. Once you're happy with it seal everything with another coat of gloss, satin or matt.

My thoughts exactly. I'm just about to finish their 1/48 Buccaneer S2B, which I was quite excited about, but have ended up a bit dissapointed. Warped parts, soft detail and daft mistakes in their research. Tyres! Their 1/48 Hunters on the other hand (except for the lack of flap detail) are excellent. If they are going to charge premium prices for their kits, then they need to up their game and produce their kits to a more consistent standard. I've built the Tamiya Tomcat and it is a great problem free build and worth the asking price. The faults I encountered with the Buccaneer do not make the kit un-buildable, but are annoying. Airfix are nearly there, but not quite yet. A 1/48 Puma would be nice though.......

I'm another that made a beeline for the MRM stand at the IPMS nationals to stock up on decals and transkit bits and pieces. My brother bought the 6R4 kit, which is still in the box unbuilt, but he does have a look at the bits now and again, trying to pluck up the courage to start it.🤣

Our hobby can be very expensive at times, but the price of model railway items is eye watering. This must have a big effect on the turnover for retailers. Hattons fall out with Bachman cant have helped either.
