  1. Found an interesting discussion on Facebook regarding the same pod carried by a F-14. I hope it's OK if I post the link here... Great photo showing F-14 and F-4 carrying the pod One answer was...The US Navy occasionally equipped F-14 Tomcats with AST-5 telemetry pods (and similar missile-scoring or chase pods) primarily during developmental flight testing, such as for the AIM-54 Phoenix or Tomahawk (TLAM) missile programs. Carried on standard wing pylons, these pods recorded and transmitted crucial data on weapon performance in lieu of live warheads.
  2. I don't think so. Take a look at that post a couple of years ago.... ECM pods Take a look at Ron's @f111guru second post. There's a photo with the pod and it looks pretty "slim". And as far as I understand the antennas can be "adjusted"
  3. Looks like an AN/ALQ-71 pod Alex
  4. Great looking Spitfire Craig!!!
  5. Looking good Craig! Didn't know the new Eduard decals are such a pain.
  6. Great looking camo Craig!!
  7. Fantastic looking Huey!!!! Alex
  8. So sad... Now I see it. It's a way smaller display. Like a third it used to be πŸ˜• We thought about visiting our families later this year but maybe we should postpone it to a later date...when the rest is back on display πŸ˜‚ Update...found a YouTube video that shows Hangar 7 as a closed depot 😒 The Phantom, Alpha Jet, G.91 and many more are stored there. I guess they are saving money.
  9. Great photos! Thanks for sharing. Good to see that they put the Gannet inside. But where is the Phantom? It was next to the Tornado. We left Berlin in 2018 and the museum is one of the few things I miss. Alex
  10. Fantastic work!! One question...where did you get the belts/net for the spare wheel from? Alex
  11. Fantastic build πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Oh great...now I want to build one as Screaming Mimi from the 80s TV show Riptide πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
  12. Phantastic update, Anthony!!!! Can't wait to see her finish...and to see what Airfix will give us in 1/48. Alex
