hatchet Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 (edited) Woohoo, I actually finished a kit! This is Jaguar GR.1 XZ367/P, "Debbie" Airfix 1/72 Jaguar GR.3 kit, decals from Revell GR.1 by way of Col (thanks mate!), Sidewinders from Italeris T.2 kit with decals from the Airfix sheet and bombs from RoGs Tornado GR.1. Paints are Xtracrylics Desert Pink, Light Aircraft Grey (intakes), Deep Bronze Green (bombs) & Light Gull Grey (Sidewinders) and Games Workshop Chaos Black (fake canopy, black details and Sidewinder fins), Mithril Silver (Sidewinder fuse, LRMTS lens, chaff/flare dispensers and landing lights), Boltgun Metal (gun muzzles), Chainmail (nozzles, Sidewinder nose and fins and rear body), Skull White (antennas) and Tin Bitz (rear body). The LRMTS windows were made from a block of clear resin sanded to shape. Enjoy! Edited December 27, 2007 by hatchet 1

hatchet Posted October 28, 2007 Author Posted October 28, 2007 (edited) Very nice....but I've seen pictures of Debbie and she is, how can I put it? Well, dirty..... Thanks! I was concentrating on actually finishing the bugger, weathering wasn't really considered. Not much surface detail left for it to grab onto either Edited October 28, 2007 by hatchet
mikeew Posted October 28, 2007 Posted October 28, 2007 (edited) Lovely Jaguar Martin . That last pic looks like some of the photos seen of Jag's flying low level over the desert. Neat touch with the LRMTS resin block, worked a treat! Edited October 28, 2007 by mikeew

Neat touch with the LRMTS resin block, worked a treat! Thanks mate! The pictures don't show the LRMTS too well, it's actually almost crystal clear! A tribute to Neils casting-abilities I guess, it was the pour-stub from the lenses for his Popeye missiles.
