sunray
Here is my effort of an old favourite from my youth, Airfix's 1/72 Angel Interceptor. I used a resin cockpit and pilot by Retrokitonline which I must admit has the world's ugliest looking "Angel", just my luck. Here is the link to the full build thread http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235008043-airfix-172-angel-interceptor/Spectrum is Green.

HL-10
You have really done an impressive piece of work on that old kit and turned it into a lovely looking model! Really inspirational, I've got to get to work on mine.
TallBlondJohn
A high tail on a delta?? Did they learn nothing from the Javelin? Fine model though, superbly photographed

Andy Mac
Very nice, you've made a good job of an iffy kit.
sunray
Thanks chaps for all the kind comments. As for the kit, for its age I think its not too bad and if anyone wants to have a go at re-scribing its not a bad one to start if you have not done it before. Harley John
Lovely build. Wonder if anyone's ever tested its aerodynamics to see if it would have been possible to build a full scale one? Sorry, I'll get me coat!
sunray
Thanks chaps. Mark it still a crack'n little kit to build. John I would settle if someone would build it in 1/48.
Flektor
Did Airfix change the decals on this kit ? My Dad made me one when I was a kid and I'm sure the A didn't have the roundels on it.
Kallisti
The decals are newer, printed by Cartograf but you apply the roundel declas over the "A" decal, they aren't all one decal.

sunray
Thanks chaps. 2 hours ago, Flektor said: Did Airfix change the decals on this kit ? My Dad made me one when I was a kid and I'm sure the A didn't have the roundels on it. I remember making one in the 70's and I think then it was just the "A" but on the newer kits it gives you the option of add the roundels. So I checked the web for photo's of the interceptor from the original series and they had the roundels so on they went. Anyway Happy New Year everyone!
