Another simply wonderful model, a what if?

No just normal service in Woodyland, it's always a bit magical in there.

Thanks Bill, output is slow this year, but enjoyed this one.

Exactly looks like he has the beret, regimental tie and a navy blazer. 👍

Lol, I see it now. I think that is just a reflection on his shiny hair 🤣

That's really good and it could been reality if circumstances had been different.

It was insanely noisy apparently. My gardener, yes I had one, grew up in the  vicinity of the airfield where it was tested. He told me the noise would drown out  everything nearby. I suppose they might have fixed that eventually.

But noise was tolerated more back then. I lived ten miles from the airport and regularly would  find myself drowned out by BAC 111s in particular. They were so loud.

Nice what if, though.

I do miss the noisy days! Appreciate not everyone shares that sentiment though!

Exquisite Neil, I do like Wiffery! With you background story, I think you are a candidate for Minister of Transport!

Very nice build of an odd machine!

BTW.. very nice S2000, I’ve got one myself too 😉

Cheers Alex, any pics?

This is my sons, although I'm insured on it so get to play in it! It's a 2002 one with some bits from later models. Great fun, we did an oil change on it last night as my son is doing a track day on Monday.

Well, it was intended to be in the early Transport Command scheme of light stone/dark earth over black - I'd already got as far as the light stone. However, there's a problem, as after seeing your lovely build and posting about my part built one, I went to dig it out and get on with it, thinking I might enter it in our next club comp. - except I can't find it anywhere....

I hope it's in a box in the loft I can't get at at the moment....

What a fantastic build! Makes me want to buy one and build one for my own display case, inspirational builds like yours are what this hobby is all about, it grows our hobby when another builder inspires.

Thanks for the kind words, I get a lot of my inspiration from builds on here too, I'd love to do more diorama stuff (or at least interesting bases for builds) having seen some on here, but time and space gets in the way!

Very imaginative bit of modelling of what Fairey's noisy tip-jet creation might have looked like in service. I like it. Well done.

I'm with you on that Neil. Politicians, who have any of them?

Keith, I too have a stalled Rotordyne build. I think having seen what it can look like i skilled hands, I may just resurrect it!

In fairness to politicians mate (can there be such a sentence? 🤣), I'm a great believer that if you aren't satisfied, do the job yourself rather than complaining about others. I reckon 95% of what happens in my life is down to the decisions I make, not the government, so I'll stick to focussing on what I can control. One of those decisions is culling the stash a little at the moment 🤣 Suspect that will be countered by buying some new releases though ha ha!

I was!

That’s a picture from 2018.. now the car is the same except for the wheels (Advan now) and a HKS Super Sound Master exhaust (dual).

The one in the picture was a Spoon N1, super light, very nice looking (imho) and an insane sound.

We've got the HKS Hi-power spec L dual, a deeper tone but still fairly quiet until you open it up a bit. It's just on Eibachs for now but he wants to swap to coilovers at some point.

That’s a superb Rotodyne!
The “updated” scheme looks totally convincing and really stirs the imagination.

It certainly has given an old kit an inventive new outlook - fantastic display base too!

👏👏👏👏
