Looking fantastic Alistair. Nice work on respray, and the clear cote has evened it all out.

Tomorrow after work I'll make a start on the stencils. There are a lot more than I imagined.

Thanks for looking,

Oh god, I felt a sudden urge to hoick mine straight for the bin when I saw that. I might have to tactically spill acetone over half of the decal sheet.

Crikey, it's got its decals already!

Nice work still Alistair, this one will be done before the weekend's out.  Then you can start the Swordfish.

Thanks Andy,

Don't do anything precipitate until you see how mine turn out.

It may not need them. ;)

Oooooo yeah, that's looking rather splendid under the clear coat and with the main decals.

Great work and good luck with the stencilling Alistair.

Chris

Thanks Chris,

That's very kind of you.

I was going to start the stencils tonight but I'm just in after the first full timetable in over two years and went from 58 trains on the early to over 120.

Feeling a tad tired but I might fell up to it after a shower and a shave.

Nice try.............:wicked:

I would need to have one to do that.

When I can find the Tamiya 1/48th for a not ludicrous price it will happen.

Alistair

At some point in the future, yes. :D

The upper and lower stencils are done.

Not that you can see much in the photos.

think I can see a stencil or two looking at this on my phone, but I can confirm that the TSS looks the biz! Swings and roundabouts, eh?

Regards,

Adrian

Thanks Adrian,

The stencils on the underside show up nicely in normal light but the flash has washed them out.

The TSS has worked better than I thought a couple of days ago.

It looks ok now.

The TSS looks great Alistair, lots of teeny tiny stencils going on too.  Looking forward to this and the Swordfish

Great work

Chris

Thanks Chris,

You might  need to wait a while as I'm looking for one cheap.

If you need something to do you could start a Sunderland to keep you occupied. :wicked:

I didn't have the energy to do the last stencils last night but tonight they are done.

There are still two to go on the canopy, some on the undercarriage and on the props.

I'll do them when everything is ready for them.

Thanks for looking,

Alistair

That was a heck of a catch up. Glad you sorted the paint out, she looks much better after a second spray. 🤗 The main decals and (yes we can see them) stencils look fantastic. Looking forward to the next steps on this lovely build. ❤️

She's looking very good with most of the transfers on, Alistair - almost there! I've received mine now and I like the look of it (I already have two other Sword Avenger versions, so I knew what to expect - no surprises on this one).

Regards,

Jason

Thanks Johnny,

Too kind and the first attempt was way too blotchy, the second is ok but the oil dot bit will hopefully blend everything in.
