Looks great! I'd love to do a scheme like this
  6. Very nice - Gotta love a Sea King!
  7. Hi Markdipxv711 Sorry I didn't see your reply all that time ago. If it's not too late. You'll need a new scalpel blade and just keep scoring along the lines until you break through Sorry again And thank you all for the lovely comments, I did love doing this build - She sits nicely in my kit store whilst I plan my new man cave
  8. It's been a while since I have been able to show something that's worth showing. But now after a few weeks I have some work that I am quite pleased with. During my time in the Fleet Air Arm I cut my engineering teeth on this airframe: ZF121 from 772 Squadron then I met her up again on 846 Squadron. Where I worked with it in NI (where these old images come from) Here's all the kit that will be creating my masterpiece The donor kit I have just incase I get something wrong. More to follow... Thanks for looking
  9. Looks extremely good! Seeing as I'm part way through my build with the same kit and going for the same scheme. I shall be using some of your techniques particularly with the saltire! Lovely work
  10. Love it! brings back memories not only for my build but actually working on 'Papa'! Nice work!
  11. Thank you both, I've got another 2 1:48 Sea Kings in me.. hehe
  12. After spending the best part of 5 months building this I am quite pleased with how it's finally turned out. During my time on the 'Junglie Circuit' I cut my engineering teeth on this airframe: ZF121 from 772 Squadron then I met her up again on 846 Squadron. Where I worked with it in Northern Ireland I hope you like her There are more images but didn't want to swamp all the bandwidth hehe
  13. Thanks Al Locked and you're disconnected hehe

Yep been there! Back in the day the TANS was next to useless, unless one of the aircrewies had spent laborious hours programming the bloody thing. Following roads and reading signs was lower risk! Even funnier trying to read snow covered signs in Norway! Or orbiting to clear fog to read a sign! Them's the Junglie Rules! haha

    My models thus far

All looking good! When making Helos consider not glueing the rotor head assemblies in place and simply place them in position. Couple of reasons: 1. Takes up less shelf space when you have plenty to display. 2. and more importantly when flying them around the living room, they wont get knocked off and you can pretend they are spinning. The Wife thinks I'm awesome. hehe Enjoy the hobby!
