  1. Love this build. Youve done a spectacular job on it and the weathering is spot on. The builds in the above post are lovely too, specially the checkered one. Regards
  2. Lovely build. I'd love to build one of my 2 swordfish in my stash but that rigging.
  3. Thanks all for the comments, very appreciated. Will certainly build more tigermeet builds. Regards
  4. Skeg, the decals were lovely to do, they were firm and very little tearing occurred, although this did happen on a very long very thin decal but I suppose tearing on such thin decals is always likely. Thanks for the comments everyone, means a lot. Regards
  5. The decals were very pleasing and they went on without any major issues. I would give the decals a 9:10 for quality, they were quite sturdy, didn't tear and look visually very good when compared to the real plane. Regards Thanks for the comments everyone.
  6. Hi thanks for your comment. The Impala exists mainly in two seater form, inwhich most are, but there are some single seater frames out there. Regards
  7. Lovely job. It would have been great had the real machine been schemed like this. Invasion stripes always make plane's that bit better. Regards
  8. Great work, I think your build looks much better than the die cast. I must buy one of these, I bet there fairly cheap knowing Hobbyboss. Some of their kits are great and the majority are very attractively priced. Top marks. Well done
  9. Absolutely stunning, both kings posted on this thread. That's certainly a name this helicopter deserves, king. Such a beautiful machine in any livery and such a workhorse. Can you guess I love seakings. Both builds here are superb and are both great tributes to the kings. Top marks both. A+++
  10. I totally agree, I've seen images of this plane and other mirage 2000s without this scheme and mine certainly does seem to be too blue but I was aware of this whilst painting it and I didn't want to paint it a nothing other than this blue. I wanted the challenge of mixing this blue and wouldn't have been happy had I gone for more grey. If you think these decals are laborious, you should see the other f16 in my stash, perhaps in 5 years ill start it, now that is a challenge. Regards
  11. Hi all, having picked this up at the northern model show, I was really excited to get it built as its certainly different. I really enjoyed it and learnt a lot from this build, mainly that because there are many decals, they needn't stop you from building a kit. Although you cant see it very well on this photo, a few layers of Klear have made her nice and shiny. Comments encouraged and many thanks for looking.
  12. Hi all, I finally bult this after months of putting it off due to needing to mix paint and the decals. But, as ive been doing lately, ive been trying new things and paint mixing has gone very well and the decals weren't an issue. Im starting to build more challenging builds now and im really getting more confident with challenging builds. Im really happy with this and I welcome your comments. regards
  13. Hi all, here is my recently built impala. I must say, in the last week or so ive started using Klear, the new formula, and wow, what a difference. The canopies are so shiny and clear with using this and the aircraft themselves, if they should be shiny, look superb as a result. All comments welcome.
  14. Thanks for all the comments folks. Being one of the longest stash residents, I never thought I'd build it so I'm very happy I finally have. I've got another identical revell starter set in the stash, brand new with paints, glue etc, for £2 at a car boot sale. Couldn't believe when I asked the lady on the store and she said £2.
  15. Hi all, here is my Tonka, the paint is a mix of revel beige, flesh and dark earth, and the decals are from a monogram gulf boxing from the northern model show for £3. Hope you like her, comments welcome.
