  1. Thank you very much guys, that input is invaluable information ..so apart from the seat it's pretty much a OOB build with a few details added to the cockpit .. my sort of model Thank you again Norm
  2. Hi all I'm thinking of starting my Trumpeter kit which has languished in the loft for the last five years, are there any pitfalls with the kit I need to correct?... I've read up on a few reviews and apparently the props are wrong? I know about the access door should remain closed and that the flaps were always closed on the ground (which I'll model that way) I'm not going to buy the expensive trumpeter etch detail set (90% of it wouldn't be used) so a bit of scratch building is in order. Are there any resin replacement wheels available (can't seem to find any) as I'm not a fan of the rubber ones. Many thanks in advance Norm
  3. I have this kit in my "To do over winter" so I'll be watching this progress .... great work so far
  4. Looking forwards to this build ..oh a clean work area, we can't have that
  5. It's pretty quiet and shouldn't disturb anyone in the house, add to that the compressor has an auto cut off once the tank reaches pressure and restarts once the pressure drops below a certain limit ... my model room is below our main bedroom and the wife said she can't even hear any noise when I've been doing airbrush work at 3 in the morning.
  6. Hi Rick That combination would cause you more problems than it's worth. so a better option (for little more money) would be this option ...it gives you a compressor with a tank (so no pulsing) pretty much the same compressor I have except mine has the boxed cover over it, works very well too and you get yourself two airbrushes to learn with. I've heard some good and bad things about the cheap knock off airbrushes, but you could always upgrade your airbrush at a later date and still use the compressor. Hope it helps Norm
  7. Stubbed my toe on the compressor ..Oh the pain of model building :)

  8. Very nice model Mike, but doesn't the P-47 have navigation lights under the wing?
  9. great shape for an aircraft ... great job
  10. What a cracking pair you have .. models that is .. I agree not many planes look good in desert pink, but they both do ... good job
  11. Red plastic (shudder) one thing that puts me off coloured injected kits ... good work none the less ... that range of thinners looks good, I'll go have a look
  12. This is insane scratch work ..oh wait Fozzy is building it .. carry on people ... very nice indeed
