  1. Never found him that entertaining myself, but there you go.
  2. I've seen that film, but I think I can match it with the casting in 'Genghis Khan', 1966. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0059219/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_3_tt_7_nm_1_in_0_q_genghis khan Who can forget Omar Sharif as Genghis, James Mason as a Chinese Mandarin and Robert Morley as the Emperor of China.
  3. Oh dear. I thought you were pulling my chain until I looked it up on IMDB. Is this why David Beckham now has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?
  4. Hello John, Welcome! I too have an interest in all things relating to the Zulu War and Zulu, my username may give a clue to that! 😁 I remember the Cliff Sanderson figures from Hinchliffe, I had quite a few of them, mostly bought from Under Two Flags in London when I was visiting the Big City. I used them to make various vignettes from Isandlhwana, all, sadly, long gone, now. I do look for the figures turning up on Ebay, but not had any luck so far. Dave
  5. Is this a form of care in the community, then?
  6. Neither was Lenny Henry.
  7. Yes, but the print is too small to read.
  8. Yes, SWMBO is a fan of both, so I've acquired a bit of knowledge about them. Not a great fan of Agatha Christie, I prefer Dorothy L Sayers, and, as Enzo has said, Lord Peter Wimsey would have solved the case.
  9. Quite a bit of time, though, Poirot was operating in the '20's and '30's, Miss Marple in the late '40's and early '50's. 😁
  10. I've never been able to understand why the murderer doesn't kill Poirot, then he or she would never be detected.
  11. Probably not as funny as the real world cup competition which is rapidly turning into black comedy.
  12. Not always, I knew someone whose dad was a bookie, and he went bankrupt. 🤷‍♂️
  13. Possibly something for the weekend?
