  1. Wow, What a treat! It is absolutaly a spendid, fantastic work, inspiring, both didactic and educational, a true pleasing lesson in modelling. Well it might be anything between 1/72nd (what it is) and 1/32nd scale (what it looks like). Eric B.
  2. Outstanding result, very impressive and inspiring. I love your model, taxyways base and daylight photography - I needed several takes to convince myself it really was a model. Great modelling Eric B.
  3. Outstanding result. That really is a gem of a scale EF-111A you built. Truly inspiring. Eric B.
  4. That is sharp modelling. Fantastic result, a real pleasure to the eye and a very inspiring vignette.
  5. Wow, She is a beauty, well built, well balanced. Great looking model! Eric B.
  6. Wow, this build deserves to be pinned... Extraordinary, fantastic job : your attention to details and your skills are outstanding, just modelling at its best. Your thread is well written, well illustrated and is both inspiring and informative. Eric B.
  7. Hello, I somehow missed this one until now but luckily found myself back on track after the release of your Il-2 build. Completely different topic but there are things in common. Your Hunter is an equally sharp and beautiful build, interesting topic and seldom seen model : you don't see Revell Hunters built that often. Another beautiful effort of yours and a real pleasure to the eyes : congratulations. Eric B.
  8. Brilliant and so unusual ! Well Done. This is a very nice build and an interesting choice of colours. Both are rarely seen. You don't see a 72nd scale Il-2 very often and even less a Tchecoslovakian one. Beautiful effort and thank you for the link. Cheers Eric B.
  9. Beautiful job, she is a beauty. Congratulations Eric B.
  10. I simply have to quote this message. Sharp result, this is a vast improvement over the Airfix kit, your model looks like built from a modern kit. Congratulations. Eric B.
  11. That is splendid result. I heard about the Revell A330/A340 issue but I have not really spotted yet, but truth is I have not started one yet. I am still wondering if Zvezda may be considering releasing the A340. By the way thank you for your kind and illustrated description of the Braz nose integration. It is really alerting and helping. I might have joined the Braz parts together first and only then to the Revell rear fuselage. According to your description that is a good way to spoil the whose construction process. You just paved the way, thank your for that. Criticism : None Pleasure to the eyes : Max Really beautiful result on both the Turkish and Air Greenland Airbuses. Eric B.
  12. Very nice and expected release. A new B737-200 in the 1/144th scale is long overdue. Now I have to motivate myself to complete the Airfix 1/144th B732 I am currently buildind. LACI flaps and engines, Revell B738 nose, a lot of adjusting, still wondering should I go on or should I bin. Slow process! I think I'll carry on with it but my 3 additionnal Airfix kits are bound to be sold. Eric B.
  13. Interesting, Dave. I also have 2 Doyusha F-27s in my stash, and I was wondering if I should add an EE box to the list. That is a very nice effort, Norbert. I did not know Condor flew the F27. Cheers Eric B.
  14. Hello Thank you all for your kind words. There is more to the story, this time to the pilot's story. At the time Lt Colonel Gustav Lundquist graduated from experimental test pilot school in 1942, and later became chief test pilot until 1944 when he conducted prototype testing of many of the aircraft eventually used in combat operations in World War II, including the Spitfire. During June and July 1944 he flew with the 353d Fighter Group in England and shot down 2 aircraft. His P-51 was shot down over enemy territory in July 1944 and he was a prisoner of war in Germany until end of war. It appears he was the highest ranking (test ??) pilot POW (WW2). H ended his career a Brigadier General. Cheers Eric B.
  15. Thank you dearly. I will look out for it. Cheers Eric B.
