  1. A small update. All engines are now built up except for the front fan which can be fitted later after all the painting is done. Again some small amount of filling required.
  2. We had a girl at Secondary School with that name.
  3. Nice Sqn choice Dave. I have this one to do at sometime (not now), but in 1/72nd scale.
  4. Add my name to the list please.
  5. Wings, fin and a few other parts added. The instructions would have you add the wings with flaps and slats added, but I feel that that is fraught with danger. The wings fitted alright although there are a few gaps that are mainly on the underside. A bit of filling and sanding required. I will also start on the engines and adding a few more smaller parts to what is already built.
  6. That is superb and well worth waiting for. I look forward to it being placed on the lift.
  7. On Port side in a small rectangular panel in front of the larger one, right at the front of the fuel pods. Which way are you rotating the rotors? I ask before you mount the motors.
  8. Yes. I found a photo of this last night, it is just behind the ADF loop aerial(?) (Black oval shaped plate) and on the centre line.
  9. The upper anti col light goes on the rear pylon not too far behind the rotor. The Pt and Stbd lights are on the refuelling door and its coresponding one on the otherside (where the Fwd U/C legs are). I can't remember there being a lower anti col light, but someone will prove me wrong.
  10. The fuselage is now altogether, along with the wings. The roof part of the fuselage was a bit difficult to fit as it had warped slightly, but some gentle and not so gentle persuassion got it to fit. This now has to be filled. The wings are filled and require sanding which I will do with some caution so that I do not knock any of the sticky out parts off.
  11. Less than a month now. Really looking forward to the show.

  13. The wonderful pink now painted and this includes all the extra parts such as fuel tanks, U/C doors and the flaps. I forgot being a mainly 1/72nd aircraft maker how much paint is required for a one coloured 1/48th one.
  14. I have eventually made a small start on this one. I have made up the nose U/C/ cockpit part (forgot to photo cockpit), Bomb bay and the main U/C bay. Annoyingly this is one of those kits where the nose wheel leg has to be fitted to the bay before it can be fitted to the fuselage. I did do a trial beforehand to see if it could be fitted afterwards, but had no joy. The bomb bay is only meant to be fitted with the doors closed, but I am going to try and leave them open. I did look at the instructions of the armed model, but as far as I coud see it did not mention how to do this either. I have glued one of the wings together, but yet again annoyingly the outer U/C door has to be fitted beforehand. This also has to be cut from the whole door before it can be fitted to its operating arm. Luckily I was able to do ths with the part still attached tro the sprue. The parts fitted have not been glued yet, I still have to fit the supplied weight to the top of the bomb bay. Hopefully this will be done over the next day or so.
  15. A superb finish, especially with all the trials and tribulations that you had along the way. Well done for keeping going where others (including myself) may have given up.
