After seeing the black eagles display at waddo.

I just had to get me one of these

As you see it comes in a very smart looking box, with a nice colour insert to hise the plastic from prying eyes.

within a couple of hours i had the pit built and primed, and the crew actually fit the seats perfectly (other manufacturers take note)

The guncover blanking plate fits nicely

As i will be posing the craft in flight i have closed the gear bays up

This kit seems to fit very well, perhaps academy tried a bit harder being as they are Korean eh? But anyhoo this model seems to have revived my somewhat flagging mojo so watch this space for updates.

BE AWARE YOUR REAR lol sunday waddo goers should get that one

Hi, looking forward to seeing this come together after their RIAT displays. I would love to get my hands on one of these kits.

right seeing as i like to make life difficult for myself, i rather foolishly decided to paint the markings on rather than attempt to beat the decals.

so first i primed grey, then a coat of AGW was sprayed, i stuck a sheet of tamiya masking paper over the decal sheet and carefully cut out the parts to mask white and applied to the model.

then a couple of misty coats of yellow were oversprayed. the paint is from rattle cans as my airbrushing stuff is still packed away after the recent house move so the yellow is not quite golden enough but i wont tell if you don't.

Watching with interest, I think you are doing the right thing, I doubt the decals will cover well over black.

I fancied doing one of these since we met the pilots at Armed Forces Day in Scarboro' the week before. They seemed genuinely suprised we knew who they were and why they were there. My kids got some cracking memoribilia, which I shamelessly am keeping safe. Their show at Waddington was spectacular.

They gave my son and daughter each what look like the collar pins they wear on their flight suits and a signed photo. Seemed like really nice guys and pleased to be in the UK.

Don't be daft, pm me your address and I'll sling some in the post.

Will only be 2 or 3 stickers as the posters are way too cool to part with!

Very interested in how this goes!

They were the stars of the show by far.

Dan

i picked it up from little cars at the mk show its A5 sheets of tamiya tape

Meh ive totally codded my decal/patterns up. mental note tamiya masking sheet when left for 4 days DOES NOT come off decal sheets without bringing said decal with it and ripping itself to bits.

GRRRRRRR

I thought when I read that you had stuck the masking sheet over the decal sheet you had used something transparent between the two, ouch, hope you can get something sorted as it was looking good.

Damn. I've had to get one as well. Curses.

Sad to here about the masking tape. I would have scanned the decals and used that as a pattern if painting.
