A wash and blow dry! Trimmed off resin extensions to bottom of each bumper, shaved blips of alloy from the wheels. Little bits need filling/sanding. But never seen one built, anyone out there?

Umm..OK. '53 Chev, perhaps? Looks like an Ed Roth style caricature. Definitely ....interesting.. yes, I think that's the word I'm looking for.

Cheers,

Chris.

The only thing I noticed on the box is that it is from a group of resin kits from Jimmy Flintstone called 'Tarpit Toons'. Looking on the JF site it's not available in the latest group.

Yes and here's today's work..

From my previous pictures on the Del Aire, I've sliced the thick resin base so that the tyre smoke is now on the ground! A few hours carefully slicing with a new hacksaw blade without a handle..

This then shows up the tyre smoke..

The the body and hood scoop and some filler here and there..

That looks like a fun build and quite a painting challenge after dealing with those bubbles in the chrome embelishments.

Thanks guys, I don't know if I can paint flames on the body, perhaps I have some flame decals in the stash. Again another challenge!

Thanks, having not seen an image other than on the box, I chose one of my favourite colours.

Nice colour Pat, will show up well against the rear tyres and tyre smoke.👍

Although I've laid up some decals today, I'm not totally happy..

Nearly there, not my favourite build, I've messed up in various places..

I had to put in a plasticard inner arches as no real area to attach the front wheels. Rear connects well.
