Ah, sorry, I did not explain very well, I did not mean the whipping on the ends of the cord, I mean how are the ends attached to the plane to keep the cord in tension.

The bungee is looped around one of the stub tubes seen in the photo and tied to itself.

Am I missing something?

Is this a scale model or a full size flying replica being built here?

Ive followed this for awhile now, I cant remember and didnt really find anything as to engine type ? What will you be using a 5-7 cylinder radial ? Arotary engine of some sort ? That or possibly an flat 4 cylinder horizontally opposed hidden inside the cowling/fuselage ?

Not a rotary for the reasons given on page 2 of this thread, so either a Warner radial (spares becoming a major issue) or Lycoming horizontally opposed as per this one:-

I shall cover it and paint it myself.  A big job but quite satisfying.
