After a delay of a week or so i have finally finished this one.

A VERY enjoyable kit IMHO and would readily recommend it to fans of the P-51D in 1/48 scale.

Heres a couple of pics, more in the gallery shortly. Many thanks to all who liked or took the time to comment, as always, i very much appreciate your input.

Cheers Greg

Absolutely superb work Greg.

She really does look fantastic, great job on the lightning bolts they really do make for an interesting and different scheme.

Very well done mate.

Thanks Craig

I'm pleased you like it. I am happy with the end result, and would definitely get another Airfix P-51 when the mood takes me. It's good to do a non European theatre version for a change.

Cheers Greg

Lovely job. The Mustang is my second favourite prop aircraft and I still don't have the Airfix version. I must rectify that soon.

John

Thanks John,

I can't praise the Airfix kit highly enough. If you decide to get one you won't be disappointed.

Cheers Greg 👍

That looks great Greg, so much interest in this scheme, it could almost not be natural metal. :)

well done Greg!  She's a fine looking model and I really do like the scheme as it's a bit more unusual than the normal NMF ones we see.

I hope you enjoyed the build and by the sounds of it you did, it was a pleasure to have you along and to follow your build.

I certainly did enjoy it.

I just have to finish the Kate now, which is not far from the finish line.

Cheers Greg
