MartinSK
Hello, Just to have a rest from the plastic kits (mostly aircrafts) I have build this WRC cars from paper (all free downloaded form the internet and printed). It was nice change and my wife was happy because there was not smell of the glue and colours Martin
roymattblack
Brilliant!!! I built a paper Aston Martin DBR9 some time ago and it was great fun, but extremely fiddly, so I know just how much effort you've put into these cars. Great stuff. Pity there aren't more paper models on the forum. Roy.

MartinSK
Thank you for nice comments. I like on this paper models that you need only a 4 things to build it: scissors, glue, art knife and ruler ...and little patience. Martin
shood23
They may require less in the terms of tools but they look as though they need a lot more patience then I could give and to be very honest the finish you have archived with them rivals alot of plastic models Shaun

MartinSK
Thanks again for your nice comments and it is nice to see how can piece of the printed paper turn into model of the rally car. It was really nice break from the plastic kits. Martin
Murdo
Hi Martin, These look absolutely fantastic! Better than many plastic kits I've seen. Excellent work. What did you print them out on, an inkjet? I also assume it wasn't just bog standard inkjet paper?
MartinSK
Thank you Murdo, I am glad that you like this wrc paper models. Yes all were printed on inkjet printer (standard home one, nothing special) on matt paper 180g/m2. I found this type of paper as the best option. Paper is strong enough to keep shape of the car and not too hard for smaller details. Matt surface of the paper is useful for good glue adhesion, on glossy one it is harder to keep parts together. mbdesignart
I'd like to know where to download them too. A quick google search came up with some iffy sites. Thanks
MartinSK
Thanks guys. Most of them I downloaded from this site-great and not too complicated models with no fit issues and great result in a few evenings. To start with paper models this site is highly recommended. http://www.saturn.dti.ne.jp/~eastern/pcraft/main.html More detailed models are here. They require more patience but there is also option to edit PDF to make your livery what you like http://car-models.webnode.cz/katalog-modelu/ This site is still active and new WRC models are comming soon (Fiesta, Mini Cooper, Citroen DS3) http://car-models.webnode.cz/ Martin
