Fares, please! Old London buses return for the day
Beauslx replied to Farmer matt's topic in Vehicle Discussion
Love the retro adverts. Sharp VHS, most people wouldn't know what it is. -
Same here, dead slow loading. And multiple 500 errors. Apparently someone went back to napping.

Tamiya 1/12 Williams FW14B
Beauslx replied to Tomasz Zamiara's topic in Ready For Inspection - Vehicles
That's impressive, well done sir, -
I was able to find this pic, don't know if it helps.
-
It just doesn't do anything for me. I'm more intune with Pop Rod above.

LFI B-17C/D in Camouflage Paint with Star and Bars Insignia
Beauslx replied to e8n2's topic in Aircraft WWII
It does look like Hawaiian Air Depot colors. https://theaviationgeekclub.com/the-story-of-the-hawaiian-air-depot-scheme-the-most-unusual-b-17-flying-fortress-livery-of-world-war-ii/ -
No markings? At least none that I see. Test frame perhaps?

Going through town a couple of days ago, two 72-73 Camaro's. And the worlds ugliest car showed up at work. A 2003 Pontiac Aztec.

What model has nobody kitted that you REALLY want to see?
Beauslx replied to Alan P's topic in Aviation Chat
Give me a 1/48 P2V Neptune please. And why do we not have an 1/48 F-86A? -

That's awesome. And also one of my favorite animated movies.

Convair F-102A Delta Dagger
Beauslx replied to Gary Brantley's topic in Ready for Inspection - Aircraft
Great job on the Dagger. Very nicely done. Looking forward to a F-106 build. Which is also a bit of a challenge.- 33 replies

What car kits did you build as a child and what became of them?
Beauslx replied to galaxyg's topic in Vehicle Discussion
Ironically I just saw this MPC Monaco 440 Police on Evilbay. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324858832663?epid=1001805532&hash=item4ba3186717:g:QkQAAOSwEq5hftZT -
Just FYI, Spruebrothers has it up for pre-order at $93.99. Scalehobbist has it as coming soon, in the basket price $84.99.

First one for me was a MPC 1/144 747-100 with American Airlines decals. Dad pick it out for me as he though it was a relatively easy build for 10 year old. I thought looked nice when it was done. Lots of silver paint... Unfortunately it died later that year in the Sylmar earthquake.

Why can't I build a 1/72 B-24 without remortgaging the house?
Beauslx replied to TonyOD's topic in Aircraft WWII
Interestingly enough Scalehobbist.com has the Mini D and J for $27, the Hase for D and J for $58 and $60. I have both the Mini and Hase in the stash, that I picked up years ago. -
It's looks like it's in good shape. Shipping wouldn't be to much. 😬 I'm an old Ford guy so the Comet interest me.
-
I have two for today, 1st was a 66 Comet Cyclone and then Opel GT. Both for sale.

Thanks for the welcome. Moapa is a small township about 45 miles north of Vegas, Population 2100. Very rural, lots of farms and ranches. What we like that it's very quiet. We can sit and watch the wild life, Quail, Road Runners, wild Turkey, various Eagles, Hawks and Falcons. And of course Coyote. About the only that's loud around here are the fighters or B1's exercising out of Nellis.

Thanks for allowing my membership! Like a lot of people I built when I was younger, now I'm starting to get back into the hobby. So, greetings from Moapa Nevada
