  1. This is an amazing Strike Eagle. I like the nicely detailed cockpit and also the very contemporary weapons loadout, which is typical for current operations.
  2. The new DH Hornet looks impressive. A perfect build. I followed your excellent WIP and will certainly use it as a reference when I try to build that kit.👍
  3. This is really a perfectly done Spitfire! You have put it in a perfect display area as well.👏👏
  4. What a great looking D-Day Lysander! I really love that color scheme. 👏
  5. Excellent FAA Corsair! I love the way you created the overpainted roundels on the wings. 👍
  6. This is a very impressive Typhoon! The pilot is also amazing and shows that you are excellent in painting figures as well. 👍
  7. It is nice to see how beautiful this old Matchbox kits can be finished when they are done with care, attention to detail and some modifications. You prefectly resurrected one of the forgotten RAF Bombers of WW2! 👍
  8. A real masterpiece! Perfect finish. I love the very subtle weathering you applied.
  9. That is really an outlandish price!!! 😮 On the other hand it doesn´t suprise me since I made the very same experience when I was searching for specific items. Sometimes really crazy prices show up after a search right next to the same item with a normal price. But it is even worse if the book your are searching for is only showing up with a hefty price like that.
  10. Now that a F8F-1 in 1/72 that can be built without major modifications has finally become available it would be nice if Starfighter would reissue Part 1 of its Bearcat decal sheets in 1/72. Part 2 seems still to be available on their homepage. However, one of the three Bearcat decal options in Part 2 is identical to the kits decals and another one is for a F8F-1B that would be useful for the next Bearcat that Hobby Boss is going to release.
  11. Excellent model in a perfect display! 👍 I am really looking forward to your next Hawks.
  12. I got that nice book in my libary ... I paid even more than € 115 for it back in 1999. You can find scale drawings for the early version of the Lohner B I Series 11, the Lohner B II Series 12, the Lohner B VI Series 16.1 and the Lohner B VIII Series 17 and 17.3 in it. Another title which is relevant with regard to the Pfeilflieger is the long out of print "Flugzeuge der österreichischen Firma Lohner 1909-1923" by Reinhard Keimel. As far as I can remember there are numerous scale drawings of Lohner aircraft in it. Just send me a PM. Maybe I can help.
  13. I am really looking forward to that release. It will fill a gap since it is currently impossible to get any of the old Pavla kits. The CAD pictures look good. It will probably be a vast improvement in comparison to previous 1/72 Lancers.
  14. You really invested a lot of care and effort in this conversion. The result is amazing. A pre-war all metal Sunderland is a rare sight. It is sad to hear about this unfortunate flying accident.😢 I hope that you will be able to do a complete restauration to static display.
  15. A real masterpiece! Indeed, the NEI and its struggle against the Japanese invaders is unfortunately all too often forgotten. This interesting article features a picture of NEI Hurricanes that are seen during transport on a road: https://thejavagoldblog.wordpress.com/2017/01/25/dutch-hurricanes-too-few-too-late/ However, the distinctive markings of the NEI are not visible in that shot.
  16. Nice model of a forgotten fighter in a picture perfect finish. I always loved that particular Defiant N3328. An all black aircraft that features a shark mouth is really unique. It is great tribute to the night fighter crews of 151 Squadron. 👍
  17. Dear Mike, thanks for the advice. I wasn´t aware of the limits. I have fixed the pictures now so that they do not cause any delays.
  18. Well, I think it is a sure bet that we will see another boxing from Airfix with decals for a clipped wing Dark Green/Ocean Grey Spitfire Vc in the near future.

  20. Inspired by my visit at Hendon I decided to built five British Thunderbolts. The two Mk I kits are Academy whereas the Mk IIs are built from an Academy, a Hasegawa and a Hobby Boss Kit. I just took every Thunderbolt that I still had in my stash and made good use of the XRTADECAL Thunderbolt sheet. Some of the drop tanks were sourced from Hasegawa P-38 kits. Each of the planes was brush painted. 21. This is indeed a nice early photo-reconnaissance Spitfire. I think it is a rewarding effort to convert old kits to such masterpieces. I presume you have used parts of the Pavla conversion set for it. What I also like about this aircraft is that you got the color right. The so-called pink Spitfires were in fact nearly white like yours. 👍
  22. As Steve said it is FB328. The other Mustang IIIs that served with 112 Squadron and had the Code GA S were HB927 and HB913. There is a complete list of known Mustangs, Tomahawks and Kittyhawks that served with the 112th on the 112 Squadron Website: http://raf-112-squadron.org/raf_kittyhawK_codes.html By the way, I have to tell you how much I like the amazing collection that you and your father are compiling. Keep up the great work.👍
  23. This is indeed an excellent A-1E Skyraider. I like the weathering. It is really realistic which makes it so perfect. I have seen quite a few Skyraider models before where the builder tended to overdo the wear and tear effects. In contrast, your weathering is totally authentic. One can clearly see from your pictures that you have done a lot of careful research to create such accurate effects. The end result of all that effort is simply impressive. 👏
