Thats awesome. Ive wanted a scimitar for years. Ive been building the dynavector one as a gap filler until this one arrives. One thing i have started to appreciate is that the scimitar is a very complex shape. I cant wait for this one

Very nice indeed. I think the Hunter kit is still a great one even after all these years. Yours looks superb -

It was a Merlin , Prayers that the crew are OK although after seeing photos its doesnt look good

We live about 11 miles from the airport and there has been the odd occasion we have heard it doing engine runs. Sounds awesome

Yeah , i was just looking at the photos. The surface reminds me of the italeri sunderland with the rivets and panel lines.

Ah OK i did not realise that. Different approach needed then. As a side note , i cleaned out the resin bottles out , took them to the recycling centre expecting to put them in one of the plastic recyling bins only to be told to throw them in household

I started with the mars 5 then went on to a mars 5 ultra. Then i wanted to print bigger things so bought the saturn 4 ultra...........then i wanted to print stuff with some better structural strength so bought the filament printer. That was my story anyway!

Its only the water and not the resin itself , and yes it is different , its not getting into the water treatment system is it

I have 2 Mars 5 ultras and a saturn 4 ultra. My go to printer is the mars 5 ultra. Great little printer. I bought a fabric cover for mine thats lined with foil. It keeps the heat in and the light out , which is very handy. I have a little patch in the garden that i tip the water into. I normally let it sit in the sub in its tank then tip whats left in the hole. Its suprising how much waste there is from 3d printing , the suppoerts and rafts , the odd failed print etc. I have an fdm printer too and that produces waste . I hate to say it but i find the whole 3d printing thing a bit enviromentaly unfriendly. My printers are now in storage , but i kept one mars 5 at home. I can recomend Lychee slicer. Thats all i have ever used.

Conundrums and Dilemmas 1/32 DBMK Sea Fury
gunpowder17 replied to JohnT's topic in Aircraft Cold War
Aaaah the HPH Hornet. I had one once. It was a very frustrating build from what i remember. I gave up in the end and gave it to a friend. The DBMK one however is a beautiful kit and a joy to build. Mines about half way there and its been awesome -
I cant seem to find and aftermarket cockpit stuff for the Italeri 1/48 F-15E. Has anyone used any etc meant for other kits? Thanks

Thinking of getting a 3D printer...... Help and opinions needed!
gunpowder17 replied to timmah's topic in 3D Printing Chat
I started with a mars 5 , then a mars 5 ultra , then bought a saturn 4 ultra. I then decided to get a centauri carbon fdm printer. The fdm printer is good and certainly alot less of a faff but resin wont be beaten for detail.
