I have a sort of Spitfire related question, its about the Seafire... I am trying to hammer Matchbox's 1:32 Spitfire Mk.22/24, into the Seafire FR.47 using the Freightdog Conversion set, but cannot find much in the way of dimensional drawings or photographs and currently have a question, about the access doors on the the starboard side of the rear fuselage! One, I assume is for access to the battery, at the rear and the other I'm guessing, is for accessing the cameras but can anyone advise, if these doors where the same size and/or what the dimensions (in 1:32 scale 'cos I'm a mathematical idiot😁) would be? Thanks in advance and any information will be greatly received 👍

The tender looks great, what are you using to clean it up, once you've finished soldering?

Still in 'Pondering Mode' but appreciate the suggestion 👍

Nice work on the cockpit, it looks well equipped 👍 -
Well, give my wife a car with an electric handbrake, a brake 'Hold" option or a Mercedes Foot Hand Brake, the look of confusion, spread across her face, is a wonder to see! As for cruise control, that usually ends up like this

Certainly not boring, I'm predominantly an aircraft modeller but with a (shhhh, don't tell anyone) secret hankering, for steam trains and as soldering is something I've never done, have read your post with interest! How thick is the etched brasson the kits, is it a uniform thickness or does it vary kit to kit? Thanks Tony

I'm still considering how to proceed but thanks everyone, for your own thoughts and experiences, it is very much of interest and much appreciated! Please keep the ideas coming...👍

Thanks for all the replies, all of it is food for thought 👍 I have been compiling an Excel spreadsheet which highlights various articles of interest and have all most everything listed but was wondering whether having digital copies would be a better way to go, given I do not have the room available to store the physical magazines!

Thanks for the replies, I now realise that my original post should have been clearer however... Are you related to my wife , although prior to moving two years ago, I'd usually be going through the magazines, looking for profiles, builds, colour information, conversions, tips, at least once or twice a week! Since then, they have moved between lock-ups and are now currently with my son, in his garage, which is only 7 minutes away but still a hassle to get too! You make a very good point, in that the ads, show reports and editorials aren't important to my needs but the builds and conversions are of interest to me, regardless of age, if only for something to read! In addition, plenty of kits manuafctured in the 1970's are still available, even if they have been superceded by improved tooling! I should have mentioned in my original post, that I am not looking to profit from this exercise, if I were to proceed, it would only be for articles within each magazine, that appeal to my interests, but my reason for asking, is if I were to use a professional company, I'd assumed that they would require that the entire magazine been scanned, rather sifting through each magazine to find and scan any individual articles, I required! Sorry, I should have made that clearer in my initial post! Hi Mike, I've never produced a .pdf file, is there software available to allow me to do this or can programmes like Windows Word of Apple's Pages be used? The ability to make the PDF's searchable would certainly be of interest! Also, what do you use to scan the documents with, a flatbed scanner or something with a multifeed capability? Thanks all, for your input

Being a bit of a hoarder (see 500+ kits as evidence ), I have soooooooooooooooooo many modelling magazines, but following a recent move, space is now critical and I have no room to store them at home! I have considered what do do with these, including selling or simply disposing off, but I am loathed to lose all the information contained within, so wonder if anyone here has had any experience of, either personally or professionally, scanning and saving these in a .pdf format, and could offer any advise! The magazines that I have are... SAMI (26 Volumes) Model Aircraft Monthly (17 Volumes) Model Airplane International (14 Volumes) SAM (47 volumes and counting) Airfix Magazine for Modellers (Volume 5 to Volume 28) Airfix Magazine (4 Volumes) Airfix Model World (15 Volumes) ...and I also have magazine titles like Modelaid, Plastic Aircraft Modelling, Aircraft Modelworld, 21st Profile, amongst others and due to the quantity involved, having them professionally scanned, might be prohibitive but would be interested to read what others have done with their collections! Thanks Tony

Nice build, looks an impression lump of resin 👍 -
Better still, an inkpot and quill I think it would be unfair to call my Mercedes E63 AMG boring, in fact I should never got rid of it!🤪

I still have the Fisher Model 1:32 Sea Fury, so will possibly give this release a miss, but the moulding looks great and I'll follow along, so see how it builds! Might change my mind about getting one then! Now if it were a Blackburn Firebrand TF.5, that would be a different matter 😄
