As a Dak fan, seeing your model of 'MPO reminds me osf a flight I had in this aircraft when it was with Eastern back in the mid 70's. I like the addition of the wooden control lock blocks. A nice touch. Well done.

Stunning build and a lovely paint job!

I flew in G-AMPO from Liverpool to the airshow in St. Mawgen in 1982/3. It shed a piston whilst doing local 'jollies'. Me and everyone else kicked our heels for several hours following the end of the show whilst a spare piston was flown in from elsewhere.

The pilot auctioned the old piston on the flight home. Big b****r (piston not the pilot!).

very nice - I have a stash of these, so hopefully when I get around to building one (or more) it'll look as good

Flew in 'PO' back in the 80's at RAF Brawdy, have to say, one of the smoothest flights I've ever had

Had a fly of G-AMYJ many years ago from Blackpool over to Ireland when I was doing a flying scholarship. From what I can gather, that's the one now residing at Elvington in a miltary scheme. Loved the smell of the thing, it smelt classic !

I remember going up in one with the same markings at north weald airshow when I was about 10. Great model tho Alf

Many thanks for the kind comments guys, glad it brought back some good memories.

Hi Kev1n - Ray at Two Six has decals of this stripy scheme for the whole Air Atlantique fleet, and there's a whole heap of room for internals, :innocent:
