Danuleson Thanks for the kind words and I dont think we are alone in missing the Harriers sadly.

To be honest i have totally been kit bashing these Starter kits out. With this Sea Harrier it was practice with Filler and Tamiya weathering pastels.

As i said i took me by suprise the quality in this Airfix kit from Kits gone by. I enjoyed this kit immensely. By my own admission i could have took more time but i need the practice so want to get a few kits under my belt to get to a level im happy with.

I have also bashed out a BAe Hawk T1 also with that it was paint practice and fixing decals with Klear to which i had a few problems with.

I have recently purchased a Hasegawa British Phantom which i intened to build before the Fujimi British Phantom i also bought to raise the bar a little.

My only real concern is that 1/72 might be on the small side for me now as hands and eyes are not what they used to be!

So i might go up a scale or two.

There are a few Kits in 1/72 i would like to complete before i take it up a stage or two. I suppose i need to learn to walk before i can run again. :)

Anyway im working on a Tornado F3 at the moment another Airfix pocket money kit so hopfully i should post some pictures of her up today.

I knew i had the bug again when i jumped out of bed today and went straight to do a little work on it! Much to the amusement of my wife! :)

regards

You've done a great job on what's a decent little kit!

If you like harriers and Aifix kits, I can highly recommend the new G7/9 kit (make sure you get the new mould kit). That makes this SHAR kit look ancient!

Keep up the enthusiasm!

Good job, you've got exactly the right idea to get back into the groove. When I started back into it I was amazed how materials and techniques had changed so did the same thing with cheap kits. Whenever I thought I'd bitten off a bit more than I could chew with a tough build I'd put it on the shelf again until I felt I had got a better idea how to continue. Look forward to seeing your collection grow.

I think I'm missing something. The Airfix Sea Harrier kit (in 1/72) is only a couple of years old, isn't it?
