stan
Nice review on Hyperscale if you have the room. http://www.missing-lynx.com/reviews/48/arkmodel7602kreviewlp_1.html I don`t know the cost but this may be the ultimate if you like subs.
whitestar12chris
love the look of this one, but collecting the Hatchette 1/48 VIIC, would be nice to compare the two. All the best Chris
cunners
I thought the 1/72 was big enough... Don't think I could get away with that in the house!
whitestar12chris
Hi Stan did a search, the kit retails at £299, a bit steep for static, but can be radio controlled which is where I think the market will be for this one. JohnT
I'd spend £299 on a 1/48 scale tribal class destroyer any day of the week and twice on Sundays
Alan P
Yep looks like an RC kit - but having said that, it's yet another early-war Type VIIC (yawn!) As if we don't have enough of those already. It would be nice to have a few more choices for late-war Type VIICs, with improved towers and schnorkels. Right, I've got that off my chest, now to go and build a 1/48 Spitfire, Me109 or F-16, there's so little choice these days....
Shar2
You're not wrong Al, it would be nice if Revell released their Atlantic version again at the very least.
Skyhunter66
I think if I am not mistaken BerndM has been invited by Ark to go and have a look at this as he told me about it in December. Anyway I now need to decide which of my kids rooms I can commandeer to display this kit! Chris

What Sub' have Revell got pictured as a new release at Nuremberg, looks like a late German one with snorkel
Shar2
It's a Type IXc being released this November.
AngstROM
The missing-lynx reviewer is clearly impressed with his Arkmodel sample; although I imagine there will be compromises for the 'dual-role' (static display vs. r/c). For example, there is an open-grating deck: very cool, but for the static guys maybe not much good without the pressure-hull and exhaust system details etc. underneath. Out of the box, I can see an advantage over the Revell 1/72 kits despite the huge size, but (having harbored an unconsummated desire for a big-ish Type VII for longer than I can remember) there is enough aftermarket stuff to render a stunning model in 1/72 with all the bells and whistles. All for probably less of an outlay! Whether any of that will get scaled-up, who knows? Edited January 28, 2015 by AngstROM
SleeperService
I'm just starting to dabble in the Maritime world but that model looks like the basis for a lot of work, however you could build a real stunner. I'd hope that a Late-War type appeared at some stage either as another boxing or as a after-market kit. Just been shopping with my mate Andy who spent four figures on one and a bit R/C planes....perhaps £299 isn't so much after all?
grahamwalker
might be interested if it was a T class boat
