It does look a good kit. If ever he was to do the G-LYNX World Speed Record bits again I would have one in an instant!

Good luck with the build and keep us posted.

Looking forward to this build Oz, will follow with great interest

I have one in the stash but not quite got round to it yet. I managed to pick a great reference book on the lynx at Telford in November, however away on business at the moment so can't get hold of it to give you the details, lots of great interior shots though. I'll get home a week on Monday, I'll update you then, unless someone else already has.

Until then hope it goes well and turns out as good as the Wessex.

Cheers

Hi Oz,

Hope the lynx is coming on well, a week or so ago I promised you a book reference. Sorry for taking a while to get back to you on this one, clean forgot, memory is like a ... erm... what is it... these days.

Anyway the book was Wings & Wheels Publications "Westland Lynx in Detail" "Present Aircraft Line No6". It covers all the Westland Lynx variants with around 18 shots covering cockpit and cabin of the AH7. Now that I've had another look at it the piccies are not as clear as I remember them, especially the rear cabin but may still be useful, not sure how good your own collection is.

Don't know if this helps, will try to PM you with more details later

Cheers

Thanks matey, don't worry about the delay, I do the same, er, I think...

Ref the book, I managed to get a copie, very useful, I'm currently working on making the TOW controls, the eye piece is in the kit but the controls arn't.

Thanks, on the road at the moment, will try and get some more pictures over the weekend.

If you've got your own copy of the book, great, no need fro PM.

Look forward to more pictures of progress soon.

A few more progress shots. Most of the cockpit is finished, now just have to scratch build the TOW controls.

Main assembly is now complete, just some filling to do..

I'm leaving the TOW tubes empty and off until after painting.

Now onto the glazing.

Very nice OzH. It might be the angle of the piccie but in the second from last shot the nose doesn't seem straight.

Work has been getting in the way of modelling, bummer!

Managed to get the glazing on. Belcher kindly supply to canopies, just in case you screw one up, well I managed to screw them both us, so this was the best of the two!

Loads of Klear (left out to thicken for a night or two), super glue, tipex and even a bit of filler!

It's looking great so far Oz. Keep up the good work

I know what you mean about work and life getting in the way, in a similar situation at the moment not enough hours in the day. Keeping up to date on what's going on here is tough enough. Or maybe spending too much time here is part of the problem :hmmm: ..........Nahh
