nick
Still wet out of the washer, but looking OK it’s been a strange journey, this was pretty much the first thing I tried to draw in fusion about a year ago, and I fought with it for weeks to get it done. This time round it’s been one of the last things I drew, this time in about an hour, with complete ease, and it looks to have printed both sides pretty well on the first attempt, although I’ve just noticed I have yet to draw the magneto housings on one as I haven’t drawn them on the head yet either! Nick A strange journey indeed. As John Wayne once said "You've come a long way Pilgrim" and I don't think he was talking about Fusion 360 ... lol. Malc2
Looking good. When you say 'Magneto housings' which part do you mean? Magnetos have not been used on car engines for over 50 years! Malc.

I know what I meant I’ve been spending too much time on that bloody Bentley. Nick

Malc2
You mean the ignition coils that are bolted to the outside of the intake plenum? (2 on each side - the black and gold things😁). They will be driven by the ECU with inputs from the crank sensor, cam sensors, throttle position sensor, knock sensor and manifold pressure. Since the 90s distributors went out of fashion and their function was incorporated in to the ECU. Malc.

You made me look them up! as I couldn’t remember exactly what Ferrari call them:- 'Corpo distributore housing' . They are widely referred to as 'distributors' I know they are not, but they pick up the cam position to fire the ignition coils, so I can see why people call them that. https://www.dkeng.co.uk/parts/421/electrical/general/ferrari_f40_distributors_complete.html here they are on my original, inaccurate version:- Nick
Malc2
Ah yes, the rest of the world calls them 'cam position sensor housing'. 🤣 Malc.
