shood23
I started this a while ago with the intention to post a build thread but never got around to it but either way its finished now so here it is My ducati gp4 with full decals the paint colour is tamiya ts 85 which it says is for the 2009 f1 ferrari but i found that the colour recommened (ts 49 bright red) was to light plus this paint has a metalic look to it in sunlight the tyres i am really happy with as they have a very used look to them i put a bit black over the ducati writing on the stand and wiped off the exess with a damp cloth and again im quite pleased with it and now my entire moto gp collection the yamaha was done a few years ago, since then ive picked up a lot thanks for looking and any comments welcome
heloman1
Very nice indeed, the Ducatis did look good with the M branding. I's a pity Tamiya can't follow Tameo's lead and includ tobaco sponsors decals in a black plastic envelope in the bottom of the box! Thanks for sharing your pics Colin

noeyedears
you have certainly done a lovely job on her, the finish is super, and i agree, it is always worth getting the full sponsor decals
Col.
Cracking work on a rather tasty bike. Nice effect on the tyres - look post-race rather than the pristine straight-from-the-box standard kit items.
Riggers
Superb! Looks much better with the "proper" logo rather than the bar codes! Lovely, clean job.....well done. ATB
Muddy Wheeler
Looks great, as has been said above, always looks better with proper sponsorship logos Rich
D1fuN0
Now that looks nice, and what a difference the 'proper' decals make. Very nicely done Ferrari Boy... Steve

Riggers
Ferrari Boy, forgot to ask, is the white background on the "logo", is it paint or is it an AM decal? Tabu, Studio27, Nicolecron??? If it's a decal, then "WOW"...it covers the red VERY well....if it's paint...then top bombing for masking! ATB & again mate.....SUPERB!!!
shood23
Riggers it is a hobby design decal which I am surprised at how well it went down

wagoneer
Oh so crisp! Those tyres look cool, how did you do that?
shood23
Wagoneer they were done with a dremmel at a medium speed so the kind of melted the rubber then rubbed them on a flat piece of sand paper to get the clumps off
david v
Great builds both bikes, the proper decals really do set of the ducati, as in an earlier thread of mine I had trouble with the Tamiya decals yellowing, but the hobby design ones seem to have it cracked, like the other guys I too think the tyres look great. Looking foreward to seeing more of your builds. Dave
