  1. Excellent work. Watching this avidly and building up the courage to start my 1/24 Mossie.
  2. The place is the "de Havilland Aircraft Museum, Salisbury Hall, London Colney, Hertfordshire, AL2 1BU" on the B556 Just off the M25. It is always a joy to visit. The 'yellow mossie' is the original prototype** W4050 which was later used as a test bed for various modifications including the two stage s/c Merlin. The hall was where the design team for the Mosquito was moved to keep them away from a) Possible German air raids on the main DH works at Hatfield. and b ) air ministry interference. W4050 was built in a hanger, disguised as a barn, close to the hall. ** Quite remarkable that it survived really. How many other prototypes of that vintage can you think of that are still in existance ? Keith
  3. >Been on the falling over juice already Tony? What else is there to do at this time of season?
  4. Would that be Heidi Schnapps 'das bekannte Panzer Mädchen' by any chance? This could be fun to watch
  5. Jason many thanks. I may well take you up on that offer in the not too distant future.
  6. Thanks. You are doing an amazing job. Someday soon (.. maybe) I am going to have to dig my Lanc out and get working on it.
  7. Out of curiosity what size 'hairy sticks' do you use on such a big model?
  8. Good progress. The fit on the Tamiya Mossie is really nice. Thanks for the info on the TIs as well. I really must get round to my PR XVI someday soon. The 3D modelling looks really interesting. We have one of these beasts at work but I am not sure how fine a resolution it can achieve. Unfortunately I'm so busy I never get to play with it.
  9. Martin "not a heart attack but atrial fribulation". Hope the meds sort that out. I know what it feels like 'from the inside' and it is not a bundle of laughs. Best wishes for a positive outcome. Keith
  10. I add my voice to the plaudits. Amazing work. My gob is truly smacked (Oh and that makes it 9 to go!)
  11. Funny you should mention that... I was having a sort out of the detritus gathered in the back of one of our cupboards the other day and came across these : EDIT> Oops no image :-( What file type does this site accept?? I'm trying to share a jpg stored on 'onedrive' Bugs would scale out at about 8 ft tall in 1:48 (shades of the "were rabbit"). Tweety would be about 5ft in 1:48 once you removed his base. Your welcome to one or both of them :-)
  12. Thanks. That's one less 'problem' to think about when my health recovers enough to allow me back to the bench. Keith
