  1. Its only the lower hull suspention arm's and tracks used all parts underneath you don't see! the rest is new tooled completely. it's the new Hobbyboss leguan bridge layer that shares most its part's with the old Canadian version its an awful kit waste of money but then the buffel is pretty much a whole new beast! So HB are forgiven for making this stunning kit! Only a few issues like more missing cameras from front and rear and other wee bit's here n there but alot easier to fix than the leguan/ Iguana as they called it! It's basically a Y model kit with a corrected mounted left sided camera on cantilever arm but there's loads still missing and wrong! It's the prototype they have made so basically useless to us armour guy's as was never in service, just used as a demonstration vehicle the same as Bordor model's new Kodiak as that is also a demonstration vehicle so waiting to see what is missing from that kit next to put right! But it's a Kodiak don't care really just get it released already lol!
  2. Yeah but it's the prototype so basic with ni dozer steps on rear, plus the 4 side cam's and 5th middle one under front cantilever arm with 4 black IR lights all around. The main rear camera was moved to under the rear arm from the rear of the hull and the rear lights are completely different, they should be part of the rear big grill on the rear, very unique for the leguan the rear lights! Tankograd has been a god send but the kit's are away just now while the Buffels are being built my Friend is working on a 3D printed correction set for the leguan kit's just now so it'll be finished at somepoint all correct! As for the HB buffel that is stunning compared to the leguan kit just seems a completely new company with the moulding so nice so they have pleased me with this kit and we are waiting for the Bordor model's Kodiak I've 2 on pre order but again its going to be the Demonstration vehicle so will more than likely be alot missing from that kit aswell that will need adding but will be heck of alot easier than the unique leguan design! Lol ahh it's all good fun what modelling is all about!
  3. This is the one I opted for markings ways I used a dunkelgrau on mine but this isn't boring it's beautiful
  4. Nice build, I'm building the new Hobbyboss iguana they call the Leguan but it's the same the prototype vehicle with everything wrong and missing its taking forever scratch building all the things missing as the prototype was never in active service the baskets the rear arm the front steps the cameras all missing just crazy price I paid for a non buildable kit out the box!
  5. Yeah but left in 20 mins if you read the full article, everything we see today nis the red of the treatment from strengthened armour plate I have seen in many books that this came from used a red oxide loads prove this but we just dont seem to believe it alot of modellers use black for chipping or German black brown! Actually British scc 1A brown from real colours give a perfect worn effect through to the armour plate you see when you colourize photo's you'll see there is always some red plate showing through somewhere
  6. I've just about finished mine, i just the wheels to weather up with some mud and dust to match the rest of the weathering on the comets lower hull! Tracks are nice lots of shallow injection pin marks need filled but weathering would hide them anyway there that shallow but noticeable with a wash! I don't know how to upload a picture in here? As for the Barrel it's actually usable! The seamlines just came off so easy they were so fine! It's not often I've used a kit barrel if not metal so was very happy with that. Do your own thing as normal with the return rollers like every other kit's! On the comet return rollers cut that stupid nib off they want you to glue to the track! It's stupid and doesn't fit after you have thrown abit of mud and dust on the tracks amd we don't want clean tracks! As for the Figure's they are pretty rubbish honestly, they look hunchbacked and you can't really change the heads for resin hornet one's as they way they have moulded them I've got the archer and Achillies there i can borrow Figures from just now but It is a very nice kit! I got Andy 1.16 sherman today that's also in Stock as with the jeep at Tiger hobbies I've ordered both and received both within 4 days all perfect and very well packaged the shermans unbelievable! Back to the comet I've had to replace alot in the kit but just standard things to us! Handles and scratch build a new sight the one in the kit is not usable really iMO!
  7. There is new pictures of it with its mortar turret it's really looking good! Can't wait for it!
  8. Today the kit has been put back from 13th Oct relise date to the 3rd of November now however Bronco comet kits have appeared in shop's out the blue I've not seen one these ever I've been trying for 3 years to get one so lucky I was! £40.99 strange price but decent as sure it'll still be better than Tamiyas one for detail but we'll pick it up when it finally comes! 2023 possibly haha?
  9. Looks fantastic! I've not built mine as yet but received the AfV club AVRE today! People prefer the wheels in the afv club kit but I liked them better on the the first centurion with the 17 pounder I built with the solid plastic wheels better! Doesn't take long to bottom a coupe weld beads especially if using archers resin welds on the wheels!
  10. Looks fantastic! I've not built mine as yet sat in stash since came out! But received afv clubs avre today!
  11. Got mine today thays it available now in UK and the hobbyboss buffel bergepanzer 3 amd the bridge layer leopard got all 3 today! Just Tamyia comet and andys 1.16 sherman and takoms 1.16 utility truck to come out here now and RFM JLTV! Can't wait for that kit! I'm building the I love kit JLTV just now it's not bad alot extra work put in though to bring it up to par with anything like a meng mrap! Put in RFMs 3D printed radio sets and seat belts, and waiting on 3D printed 50 cals coming and some stowage £70 for the kit absolute extortionate for it as RFMs will be the same price no doubt with nothing needing bought really! Spent atleast an extra £50 on this thing!
  12. I'm building this kit just now, does need a fair bit of work to ot make a decent model from it I feel! I've managed to get the fenders from a bronco Bishop kit I have and the 30.cal instead of that second antenna the tow cable ends are not accurate either they should be the same as the crusaders with a twin cable on each loop! The wiring spool for communication is missing only the brackets for it as you see what the box are has the TC standing they moved that up top of the casemate out of the road (usually and empty spool with rod and handle) amd the downward exhaust head was cut off very roughly as it was some dust blower when the Archer was sitting idle! If I can post the photos I will!
  13. Yeah it's not all that £65 same as the jackels so I've heard
  14. Yes, I posted it yesterday! It's all wrong it's a late innthe Africa campaign! We'll have to see what's what with this there wouldn't have been any late but does have the sand runners katy should have but the small late spare wheel cover! Not the best box art either looks like it's from the 70s!
  15. Gecko's kit has the Katy "Ice coldnin Alex decals " go for the Gecko kit it's amazing and same price really 5 quid extra! The level of detail in Geckos us just amazing me the further I get on! I'm on step 47 nearly finished then paint! Been a joy and 2nd has been ordered!
  16. Gecko's supplied the small cast spare wheel wheel for a late we must be getting later from them we are using the same on this the large early square one but airfix having the square roof vents it's a late so should have the small spare bulge behind driver! If you want the part I'll send it to you?
  17. I know it was MANN who done everything on the design of the Austin k2y ambulance the Austin chassis being one of 3 main designs by Coach builder Mann Egerton bodies the other being Morris commercial CS11/30F front mud gaurds are off a Bedford ml54
  18. Hi Mike, I'm building the Gecko one just now it's falling together beautifully! What I have just noticed is the square roof vents in the Airfix one in the roof sprue so they have gave us a late as Geckos is the round type on the (Early) and we have 3 sets of bucket lamps all different sizes must be for other versions coming!? But plenty canvas options for opening or closed blinds etc! I'll be getting the Airfix one next no doubt but track link gave it a poor review but take that with a pinch of salt eh! Everyone builds different some with issues some without!
  19. That's Takom just announced they are doing SGT York next with an M48A3 and another version so we should see a rare family enter the armour world soon this year in 2022!
  20. Great work Andrew, I know these kit's aren't for the faint hearted! I've built Katie the other version they do it's very nice but did take alot hard work for such a tiny thing it's mad with the detail I've made the front bracket for stowage on mine with the wood carved posts going through the front toe eyes n 2 bits wood from miniarts North Africa signs I cut down to size and damage slightly with after market stowage value gear, I cut the engine pannal open so the nice engine could be seen as no figures sit on that side the ones onnthe radio on other side and 2 in front and used hornet heads for the figures! Doing know how to post a photo but It's one my better builds I actually love myself haha
  21. I've got the same kit in the stash amd after seeing people get a razor saw and cut the kit right down the middle and widen it it's just going to stay there haha! There's a build on Google or track link I was reading n following apparently it's way to narrow and needs to be widened haha not for me for this old kit it would be nice to have some them 3D printed parts available for it maybe re design the breach detail and gun mount got the spare asuka boggies you get in their kits in the box I know there inaccurate also should be the early type with top roller if remember right?
  22. I've just finished mine I had alot scratch building to to do and relocation of parts n adding the cables tarps some net bags from masking tape etc the water cans are US type not British so watch out for this luckly I had Geckos new wimik with them I casted a load off as even though the US ones are preferred by the British there's just no sign of them being stored on any jackels I've seen! I'm building the new TSV coyote now it's stunning few wee issues of fitting to new Hull with suspension being tighter to fit but easy to get it fitted wee trim n sand here n there! I got Gecko models figures and weapons and bags set you get tonnes of goodness for £15 everything fits in door racks etc the coyote needs to be lacked out however for the ammo boxes I've noticed you don't get enough side's for all the Granade ammo boxes to be able use them all so there's about 6 to 8 just non usable from both kits! I don't know how to post my builds here I'd love to show you what I've done! My jackel 2 is almost finished just finer detail painting the fire extinguishers I'm trying to find pics off as no decals for them unfortunately out that massive decal sheet!
  23. Does anyone know what the curved bar is used for that rotates just behind drivers head to his right? It's not on the kit it's not on some real vehicles but is on the coyotes I'm building both kits just now the coyote is great but parts abitty more tight n meed trimmed to the jackel 2 as they called it jackel 1 kit lol the hub caps on the coyotes wheels aren't are good detail either very shallow compared to the jackel kit's
  24. Building coyote tsv just now still a lovely kit but parts a wee bitty tight on the new chassis from the first kit jackel 2/ 1 lol just finished the jackel 2 I have all 3 kits now I'm building the coyote I have lowered it's stance on the air bags it just looks so cool n mean looking when it's decked
