  1. Another beautiful rendition! Mine is still stuck on the shelf of doom because of those window strips!
  2. All your work has ended up as a spectacular result! Very well done!
  3. Had a request to repost for the 3rd time! Here you go Andy!
  4. Another masterpiece Harry very attractive!
  5. I can fully recommend the AK kits very detailed so quite fiddly! They do a hardtop, soft top and tow truck. Gecko have a series one soft top due for release this month according to Jadlam.
  6. He had badged it up as a Rover 150 on the central pillar!
  7. Hi All, I attended the annual car rally in Wallingford on Sunday and here are a few pics for your entertainment! Hope you like them. MODeller Thats a small selection of the attendees hope they meet with your approval. MODeller
  8. Yesterday my grandaughter asked me to go down and look at the cars at the annual rally. Out came the electric buggy and off we went. On arriving at the Kinecroft I was totally gobsmacked to see a Ferrari 250 California parked up on the grass something I never expected to see in my lifetime. Gorgeous beyond belief a real contender to displace the E type in my wants list. Any way after dribbling and drooling I googled the registration and found that it is a conversion on a 250 GT Coupe chassis done over several years evidently so rather more than my wallet could afford thats a cert! I leave you to enjoy the pics. MODeller
  9. Brush painted makes it even better! Superb!
  10. Sorry to report that Glenn passed away just over two years ago now. We used to correspond and I would source materials etc for him and send them on to Thailand. A master craftsman.

  12. Excellent work as usual and very nice to see one in the early livery. Keep them coming your models are inspirational.
  13. This one is the French/German boxing SH 48126 there is a Dutch Italian Norwegian boxing on eBay at the moment but it is starting at £42 six days to go. Too much for me!
  14. Hi Everyone, Another completion done in record time for me a little over a week! I had read some pretty negative reviews about this kit but found it a joy to build if taken slowly and double checking the fit of parts before any glue was applied. I did the fuselage first and then assembled the wing separately and left it to thoroughly dry before fitting it to the fuselage. I needed to remove some plastic from the inner faces but ended up with a really good fit just a smidge of filler used. I did need some filler around the canopy to blend it in but overall a really good fit. Once it was washed and thoroughly cleaned up a coat of Vallejo Gloss Black Primer was airbrushed on and then left for a good 24 hours to dry, this is very important otherwise disasters can occur! All the metallic shades were from the AK Extreme metals range Chrome, White Aluminium, Dark Aluminium and Gunmetal. Masking was done with Tesa Professional 4334 tape every bit as good as Tamiya but much cheaper given the rolls are 50 Mtrs long. Other paints used were Tamiya and Revell Aqua, A good coat of Alclad Aqua Gloss clear was then applied to seal it up before applying the decals which came from a Dutch Decal set and represent 700 Sqn Klu . They went down very well and conformed without any problems. Overall a most enjoyable build and I would happily build another if I could find one at a sensible price! Anyway on to the pics what are your thoughts and comments? Thats all for today folks!

  21. Hello everyone, Just completed these two F 27s using some Old Model Decals and the outrageous LACI 3 D printed Dart engines. I corrected some of the faults on the Italeri/Esci kit , lower hull chine, smaller windows, more bulbous nose, and dropped rear fuselage on the first model but left the windows and rear fuselage alone on the second one. The LACI printed Dart engines are simply unreal although the props as supplied were more like paper so I did not use them. The decal sheet were purchased from Jays Models NZ and although a little on the thick side went down well. The cheatlines on both were sprayed after some careful masking. Paints used were Tamiya and Revell Aqua with a coat of Aqua Gloss to seal everything in. I managed to drop both models which led to wing removal and some very tricky repairs/repaint a curse of old age! Anyway here they are what do you all think? This one is in the later scheme used by NAC. Here are the LACI parts as supplied. That is all for today folks . Let me know what you think!
  22. That is just so sharp for a tiddler well done!
  23. Proper modelling excellent stuff! Hopefully this will now provoke one of the major manufacturers to invest in a injection moulded version!
  24. Thin black decal very carefully applied! Another devious old timers trick!
